Det fokuserer på utvikling av kunnskap om barn og barndom i relasjon til ulike samfunnsinstitusjoner og arenaer. Det legges særlig vekt på flerdisiplinær forskning og systematisert erfaring innen barnehagefeltet, sett ut fra aktører i barnehagen, samt et samfunns- og utdanningsperspektiv. Det vil arbeides med overordnede problemstillinger som er relevante for barns læring, utvikling og oppvekstvilkår, sett i relasjon til sosialisering, identitet og kultur. Innhold Emnet består av fire hovedområder: (1) verdier og kommunikasjon, (2) estetiske perspektiv (3) matematiske perspektiv, og (4) læreplanperspektiv. Hovedintensjonen er å utfordre kandidatene og gi dem mulighet til å utvikle dybdekunnskap om sider ved aktuell forskning om læring i barnehagekontekst. Kandidatene skal kritisk granske rammer, forskning og praksis. Sentralt står problematiseringer og kritiske refleksjoner over ulike tilnærminger til læring, som for eksempel spenningsforholdet mellom læring og danning i barnehagekontekst. Aktuelle framtidige forskningsoppgaver vil bli diskuterte. Arbeidsformer side 1

Kurset går over fem dager med to sammenhengende seminardager og en avsluttende kursdag med selvstendig arbeid i mellomperioden. Hvert av temaområdene går over en halv dag. Det legges opp til varierte arbeidsformer: introduksjoner/forelesninger til de fire hovedområdene, seminarer, litteraturstudier og presentasjoner av egne refleksjonsnotat, og innlevering av et paper basert på deltakernes forskningsprosjekt og kurstema. For å få 7 poeng kreves det at deltakerne skriver et paper innen kursens rammer. Forkunnskapskrav Ingen Anbefalte forkunnskaper Mastergrad i barnehagevitenskap, (spesial-)pedagogikk eller tilsvarende. Eksamen/vurdering Vekt Skriftlig hjemmeoppgave 1/1 Hjelpemidler Det forventes aktiv deltakelse i seminarene. Prøveformer: Emnet blir avsluttet med en individuell skriftlig eksamen i form av innlevering av et paper. Paperet skal ha et omfang på inntil 15 A-4 sider (+/- 10 %) med 12 pkt. Times Roman og linjeavstand 1,5. Det blir gitt gk/igk på oppgaven. Emnet gir 7 stp for aktiv deltakelse i seminarene, samt innlevert og godkjent paper. Åpen for Ph.d. i utdanningsvitenskap, Ph.d. i lesevitenskap, Ph.d. i spesialpedagogikk - eller tilsvarende. Emneevaluering Deltakerne vil involveres i en felles evalueringssamtale om kurset etter kursets første del (to dager), og vil levere inn et spørreskjema ved avslutningen (etter fem dager) av emnet. side 2
