Organisering Oppgavene i avdelingen fordeler seg i hovedsak: -Oppfølging og kontroll av tekniske installasjoner -Løpende reparasjoner og vedlikehold -Utføre tjenester for brukere. -På investeringssiden blir kapasiteten til avdelingen i hovedsak brukt til å følge opp prosjekter initiert av behov meldt inn fra brukere. Forslag til endringer Salg av eiendommer: -Tidligere lokaler til Vestsida barnehage -Lokaler som benyttes til Odnes Barnehage -Eiendommer som blir ledig på Enger/Grimebakken -Salg av boliger som har uhensiktsmessig lokalisering og/eller uhensiktsmessig utforming i forhold til kommunens behov -Utnytte egen eiendomsmasse mer effektivt og dermed Kunne avslutte eksterne leieforhold. -Leieavtale Grimebakken utløper i 2015.
Mulige økonomiske konsekvenser -Salg av bygninger vil gi en engangsinntekt. -Salg av boliger gir engangsinntekt, men vil og gi reduserte løpende inntekter. -Salg av eiendom som nå brukes i tjenesteproduksjon vil gi reduksjon i driftskostnader(strøm, renhold, vaktmester, avgifter, vedlikehold) -Avslutte leieavtaler i hos eksterne gir reduserte leiekostnader og driftskostnader
Muligheter: -Opprette et fond hvor inntekter fra salg av eiendom settes inn. -Benyttes til kjøp av ny mer hensiktsmessig eiendom, tilpasning/ombygging av eksisterende eiendom og større vedlikeholdsoppgaver -Potensielt avsette et årlig beløp til dette fondet for å ivareta årlige svingninger uten å belaste driftsbudsjettet(årskostnader) -Sette større fokus på å lage vedlikeholdsplaner. Krever at det er samsvar mellom planer og evne til å gjennomføre
