Hva er IO? Offshore logistikkonferanse 2011 Kristiansund Bjørnar Aas Ph.D in logistics Molde University College, 2011
Kilde: http://www.ntnu.edu/iocenter 7

3.3 Integrated Planning Objectives and goals for the sub project The goal of Integrated Planning (IPL) is to optimize the coordination of activities and resources in an asset to ensure that HSE and production is kept at a best possible level all the time. Traditionally, the various domains of an asset, such as reservoir management, drilling, operations and maintenance, all have their separate activity and resource plans specific for their domain. 3.3 Integrated Planning IPL aims to join together the different disciplinary or domain-specific activity plans into one general plan in order to optimize the use of common resources like logistic support and maintenance expertise Kilde: http://www.ntnu.edu/iocenter 11
Status 2010 Første periode: 2007 2011 Midway evaluation høsten 2010 Ny periode: 2011-2015 IO Center has rapidly grown into an efficient and research organization with strong support from industry and producing results that create considerable potential for innovation in the petroleum industry and its suppliers. Status 2010 Midway Evaluation of the IO Center (December 2010) Plans for final three-year period: The four sub-programs are planned to continue with minor modifications. The need for tighter integration between the main projects has been recognized at the board level and cross-border projects are being initiated and / or further developed. These four projects will be devoted to bridging and providing interaction between the subprograms. One project focuses on the science of integration while the second focuses on integrated planning and logistics. The third project studies proactive environmental protection and monitoring. Finally, the fourth project studies optimal asset management and production optimization. It can be concluded that the more generic character of these four projects provides a mild change of focus with more cross-discipline thinking and attention for human factors, the environment, management and logistics. These projects will thus strengthen the overall value of the IO Centre if they successfully achieve their objective. Status 2010 Each of the sub-programs is clearly still pursuing a (sometimes limited) manifestation of the concept of integrated operation. The centre's management team has clearly recognized this lack of interaction. Source: The research council of Norway, Midway evaluation of the Centers for Research-based Innovation 14
Kilde: http://www.olf.no/ 16
Definisjon IO Integrated Operations (IO) is the integration of people, work processes and technology to make smarter decisions and better execution. It is enabled by the use of ubiquitous real time data, collaborative techniques and multiple expertise across disciplines, organizations and geographical locations. 21
