1 KAMPANJE APK : APK-5: Skifte pakninger mellom turbo og CCDPF Berørte modeller for APK-5: Vitara APK416D, totalt 66 biler. Liste med chassisnummer legges ikke ved, bruk Forhandlerweb til å sjekke om bilen er omfattet av kampanjene! Denne kampanjen utføres samtidig som APK-4! Les hele skrivet inkludert ANNEX2 før jobben utføres! Problem/symptomer: APK-5: Mulig eksoslekkasje mellom turbo og CCDPF. Tiltak: APK-5: Pakning og klemme mellom turbo og CCDPF skiftes, samt EGR rør for EGR ventil nr. 2 fra utløp CCDPF til EGR kjøler nr. 2. Tiltak utføres ihht. vedlagte ANNEX2. Delebehov: Skal skiftes på alle berørte biler: Pakning mellom turbo og CCDPF: Klemme: EGR rør: P01-RX P00-RX P00-RX0 Tilleggsinformasjon: Kampanjen er opprettet på Forhandlerweb. Velg "Kampanjesøk" på "Dashbord" (siden du kommer til ved innlogging) og legg inn VIN. Om bilen er omfattet av kampanjen vises dette på skjermen. Kampanjen APK-5 legges inn kun med variant A: A Skifte av pakning og klemme mellom turbo og CCDPF, samt EGR rør og dekkes med 0,6 timer Ved reklamasjon: Legg inn chassisnummer/registreringsnummer under "Teknisk" / "Opprett Reklamasjon" på Forhandlerweb og trykk på "Søk". Trykk på "Velg" når bil kommer opp under "Søkeresultat" Du får nå valget mellom å opprette en blank reklamasjon eller en forhåndssøknad eller en kampanje. Merk av for kampanje APK-5, fyll ut datoer, arbeidsordrenummer og kilometerstand og lagre. Ved siden av kampanjekode APK-5 velges variant A. Rapporten fylles automatisk ut med arbeid og deler. Trykk så på "Send reklamasjon" nederst på siden. Rapport ferdig. Se også eget skriv angående kampanjesøk og innlegging av kampanjer som finnes på samme sted som dette skriv på RSA Ekstranett. 2 ANNEX2 VITARA (APK) APK VITARA Exhaust gas leakage between turbo charger and CCDPF (HUTR) recall campaign.

1. IDENTIFICATION OF AFFECTED VEHICLES Check the VIN list (Annex 1) attached whether the vehicle is affected in Exhaust gas leakage between turbo charger and CCDPF recall

REPLACE THE GASKET BETWEEN TURBO CHARGER Necessary tools: No.

3 1. IDENTIFICATION OF AFFECTED VEHICLES Check the VIN list (Annex 1) attached whether the vehicle is affected in Exhaust gas leakage between turbo charger and CCDPF recall campaign. Please check that the actual vehicle is also affected in HUTQ service campaign. If yes please start with HUTQ procedure. EXAMPLE 2. REPLACE THE GASKET BETWEEN TURBO CHARGER Necessary tools: No. Tool Name Reference 1 Torque limit wrench 6-30 Nm 2 Torque limit wrench Nm 3 Ratchet wrench 1/4 4 Ratchet wrench 3/8 5 Box socket 3/8, long type 10mm 6 Box socket 3/8, shorttype 14mm 7 Box socket 3/8, long type 16mm 8 Allen socket 1/4, 5mm 9 Phillips screwdriver - 1. Disconnect negative ( ) cable at battery. Page 2 / 8

4 2. Remove the engine cover by pulling upward at 4 places where the gromets are. Check if the gromets were not left on the engine 3. Remove exhaust manifold upper cover by removing the 2 bolts and 2 nuts. 4. Lift up the vehicle and remove engine undercover by removing the 7 bolts and 6 screws. 5. Remove the exhaust pipe bracket bolt completely. 6. Remove EGR lower pipe by looseing the clamps. Page 3 / 8

Loosen the DPF clamp by untightening the

5 Repair instruction PJ Allow the vehicle to go down. Remove and disconnect the EXH GAS TEMP NO.3 SENSOR and UEGO NO.3 SENSOR coupler to avoid from damage during assembling. Remove the holder bracket also by the removing the 2 bolts. 8. Loosen the DPF clamp by untightening the bolt of it. 9. Lift up the vehicle and loosen the DPF bracket nuts, but do not remove them. 10. Let the vehicle down. Disassemble the DPF CLAMP ( P00), move the DPF to right direction and replace the TURBOCHARGER OUTLET GASKET ( P01). Replace the clamp to the new one. ATTENTION: Avoid from falling down of the gasket. The gasket must be placed with facing the blue marking to turbo and rotated to the engine direction. Engine Page 4 / 8

In case of improper fitting gas leakage may happen.

(If necessary, the process has to be done by two shop member. ) 12.

6 11. Fit the turbo charger and the DPF. ATTENTION: The connecting surface of Turbo charger and DPF has to fit all around properly without any gap. In case of improper fitting gas leakage may happen. Temporarily tighten the DPF clamp to 5 Nm in parallel keep the DPF in proper position during tightening. (If necessary, the process has to be done by two shop member. ) 12. Lift up the vehicle and temporarily tighten the DPF bracket nuts to 5 Nm. Order of the tightening: LEFT RIGHT 13. Install the new EGR lower pipe by the following steps: a) Tighten EGR pipe's clamp to 0Nm. Order of tightening: DPF EGR Cooler. b) Tighten EGR pipe's clamp to 9Nm. Order of tightening: DPF EGR Cooler. c) Tighten EGR pipe's clamp to 11Nm. Order of tightening: DPF EGR Cooler. 14. Let down the vehicle. Tighten the clamp to 25 Nm. Page 5 / 8

Reinstall the bracket of sensors coupler.

7 15. Lift up the vehicle. Tighten the DPF bracket nuts to 25 Nm. Order of the tightening: LEFT RIGHT 16. Reinstall the exhaust pipe bracket by the bolt. Tighten the bolt to 55 Nm. 17. Let down the vehicle. Reinstall the bracket of sensors coupler. Connect the couplers and fix them into the bracket. 18. Connect negative (-) cable at battery. 19. Start the engine and keep the RPM at ATTENTION: The engine must be cold when the leakage test is done. Page 6 / 8

8 20. Check the leakage at TURBO CHARGER OUTLET GASKET, by using leakage tester spray during keeping the engine RPM at Spray the substance from different directions. If leakage found, repeat the process from 5 to Reinstall the exhaust manifold upper cover by fixing the 2 bolts and 2 nuts. 22. Reinstall the engine cover by pushing at the four gromets. 23. Lift up the vehicle and install the engine undercover by removing the 7 bolts and 6 screws. Page 7 / 8
