Main objectives Ensure recruitment and education of PhD-students within the field of Arctic marine geology and geophysics of highest quality nationally and internationally. Educate the next generation of worlds best experts on the geological evolution of Arctic continental margins.
Goals : Scientific expertise at the disposal for the PhD- students and post docs. Arrange national and international PhD-courses Arrange internal, national and international workshops and symposia as well as inviting guest lecturers Arrange marine geological and geophysical cruises with international participation. The cruises will include an organized training in use of modern marine geological instruments, including sediment samplers and acoustic instruments Offer visits and collaborative research projects for PhD students and post docs Participate in relevant research campaigns such as the International Polar Year Ensure PhD- candidates of high quality for the society within industry, governmental and community authorities, research and education
