Hovedoppgave Masteroppgave ved ved IMM Høsten 2013 Lean Product Development Stability Drivers. Identifying Environmental Factors that Affect Performance. SFI-Norman presents Lean Product Development (LPD) adapted to Norwegian companies in a model consisting of six main components. An extensive survey of Product Development (PD) processes in Norwegian industry shows which areas that needs more attention in order for the companies to better utilize available resources and compete in an international level. Stabilizing the LPD processes is one area that needs more attention. Kultur Standardisering Kundeverdi Stabilisering Kunnskap Forbedring by Wenche Aarøen By using the results from the survey, the newest litterature, results from an earlier workshop and depth interviews the goal is to achieve a better understanding of what s important to stabilize a PD process within a company. Master Thesis Hovedoppgave ved IMM Autumn 2013 Change of strain field due to damage development in adhesive joints Adhesive joints are the most promising way to join dissimilar materials. However, the long-term performance of such joints is still not well understood. This understanding is essential for using such joints in critical applications with long lifetimes. A new method using optical fibers will be used to measure strain changes of the strain field in the adhesive joints. This thesis shall investigate how well this method works for monitoring damage development, and how damage develops under fatigue loading. Testing will be done using this machine: by Carl-Magnus Midtbø Supervisor: Andreas Echtermeyer
