Work Package 2 Assessment of Currently Supplied Service Quality by Rail Operators in Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary, and Feeder Links to Northern and Southern Europe has materialized in knowledge of: Technical conditions of traction and rolling stock in the currently supplied service quality by rail operators. Present freight volumes in trade between Norway, Sweden, Finland and PolCorridor countries Organisational solutions and SOPs within Polish, Czech, Hungarian and Austrian railways Border-crossing practice, standards, and regulations
Work Package 3 Dissemination of Findings to User Forums and Professional Workshops Potential users from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Central European and South-Eastern European countries gathered to provide input to the research team Attraction of industrial interests, potential Blue Shuttle Train operators and feeder service suppliers Business validation of scientific findings and calibration of the Go / Do Not Go decision criteria reflecting business requirements was provided

Oppsummering PolCorridor er en ny transportkorridor med stor leveringskapasitet. Vil utnytte ledig kapasitet i infrastrukturen i sentral-europa. Vil transportere gods mellom Norden og markeder i Sydøst- Europa med stor handelsvekst. Forventet 20% vekst mellom nord/syd handel i relevante gods over de neste 5 årene. Korteste vei mellom Norden og Sentral- og Sydøst-Europa med mulighet for minst 1 daglig tog i hver retning. Bred støtte fra politisk hold og fra kommersielle aktører.
