NOK 2 150 000 000 Sissener AS ble etablert i januar 2009 av Jan Petter Sissener. Bakgrunnen for etableringen av Sissener AS var et sterkt ønske om å skape et forvaltningsprodukt hvor forvalter først oppnår suksesshonorar etter å ha skapt en god avkastning for investor. Dette er vi svært opptatt av. Men knapt noen i Norge bryr seg om dette av en eller annen grunn. Man ville ha trodd at i et land hvor vi er svært opptatt av hva vi får for pengene våre, ville vi være minst like opptatt av hvor mye vi får betalt for den risikoen vi påtar oss. RISIKOJUSTERT AVKASTNING Viser hvor god avkastningen har vært i forhold til risikoen. Investeringer med høy risikojustert avkastning er de beste.
Dette kan være godt å vite når man skal investere i Canopus. Blir ekstra nøye når de investerer egne penger Et fond der forvalteren har investert egne midler har i gjennomsnitt 5,5% høyere risikojustert avkastning enn fond der forvalteren ikke er eksponert i følge en fersk rapport fra morningstar. Det er naturlig at forvaltere blir ekstra nøye når de investerer egne penger. Dette stemmer godt overens med tidligere forskning ifølge morningstar. Jan Petter Sissener er fortsatt den største investoren i Sissener Canopus på like vilkår som øvrige investorer.
Tradisjonelle fondsforvaltere har noen utfordringer. Tradisjonelle aksjefondsforvaltere prøver å utkonkurrere en Benchmark (eksempelvis Oslo Børs, S&P 500, Dow Jones). Aktive fond må over tid slå markedet med i underkant av 2-3 prosentenheter årlig på grunn av forvaltningskostnadene. De må alltid være tilnærmet fullinvestert i aksjer (80-90%). Ingen beskyttelse mot fallende markeder og har til tider store kursfall.
Vi går våre egne veier. Ingen referanseindeks. Vi går vår egen vei. Være tilpasset en dynamisk markedsutvikling. Finne investeringer som gir god avkastning uavhengig av markedets utvikling. Maksimere avkastningen over tid med en balansert risiko for å oppnå en god risikojustert avkastning. Går du i andres fotspor, kommer du aldri forbi. For å komme forbi må du gå din egen vei og tråkke opp nye spor. \\\
Vi skiller oss ut. Vi har tatt og vil ta lavere risiko! Vi har et Globalt mandat og har 100% frihet. Vi kombinerer aksjer, obligasjoner, bankinnskudd og andre finansielle instrumenter i samme portefølje. Hvis vi ikke finner noe å investere i, sitter vi heller på kontanter. I vanskelige markeder kan vi gå 100% kontant (stat/obligasjoner). Lavere svingninger gjennom bruk av sikringsinstrumenter. Et fond med full transparens og likviditet, som er underlagt felles EU-regelverk (UCITS 4). Daglig kursnotering og ukentlig likviditet.
