Siktemålet med det internasjonale engasjementet i VRI Hordaland har vore/er å lære for å bli betre. Ved å delta i drøfting om eit for oss viktig verktøy på tvers av landegrenser blir vi både dyktigare sjølv og vi kan dele våre eigne erfaringar med andre Kompetansemekling fenger interesse mellom Europeiske regionar som slit med å transformere forskings-ressursar til innovasjonsaktivum for bedrifter. VRI Hordaland/Høgskulen i Bergen sitt engasjement i REBASING kom til fordi nokre Italienske regionar kjende til oss frå EUROPEER.

The REBASING project intends to develop a comprehensive work program to improve the cooperation between universities (and research centres) and enterprises, thus empowering the capacity of companies to exploit innovation and introduce it in their working routines. 1.
