Learning Leadership Effectiveness: Three Steps to Take Leadership effectiveness can be learned. CTL and SoL Norway invite you to a series of workshops that will help you find your path to increased leadership effectiveness. These workshops will enable you to work on improving what you already know intuitively; that leadership effectiveness matures over time, by learning from experience. Learning from experience is a skill that can be improved through making your intuitive knowing explicit and consciously refining it. This can accelerate growth in leadership effectiveness by using identifiable patterns and sequences to navigate your journey. This workshop series will guide you through three steps, based on decades of research on learning and cognitive development. While the workshops are best gone through in order, each one can be taken alone.
Seminars 21.11.16 09.00-11.30 Introducing Developmental Thinking In the first workshop you will engage in exercises to learn how your leadership effectiveness is dependent on the structure of your thinking. These exercises will reveal a hidden pattern in the maturing of your thinking. This will give you the first step in a new journey. 6.12.16 09.00-11.30 Measuring the structure of your thinking: How well do we reflect? Reflective judgment is one of the most critical skills for leadership effectiveness. Before the second workshop, you will be invited to take an assessment to receive a free report about your reflective judgment skill level. During the workshop, you will go through exercises to customize learning activities in your report. 12.12.16 09.00-13.00 Leadership Decision Making: Measuring the quality of our decision making In the last workshop you will be given a leadership dilemma and asked to give a structured response to how you would decide what to do. Then you will be guided to analyze the thought process in your responses through learning about specific decision making skills. This will reveal hidden details and depth in your thinking for you to continue working on.
