The secretariat has not received any written feedback on this. In the last meeting there were discussion about to which students the survey should be sent to. Should it be sent to specific study program or specific year of study? Studieundersøkelsen 2017 will be presented on February 5 th. Some of the questions there are directed to internationalisation. The board emphasizes that the aim of the development of policies and specific strategies are to support and lift the main strategy for the Nord university Strategy 2020. The specific strategies must have a scientific perspective across the university. This strategy will be developed during the spring semester, presented for the board by June 2018 It shall include both education and research. 1/18 Recruitment of international degree students - 15/01544-234 Recruitment of international degree students : Recruitment of international degree students Sammendrag E-mail from Norwegian Center for International Cooperation in Education (SIU): SIU ønsker å kartlegge det arbeidet som foregår ved norske universiteter og høgskoler for å rekruttere internasjonale gradsstudenter. Med utgangspunkt i et ønske fra Stortingets KUF-komite og en bestilling fra Kunnskapsdepartementet ser SIU på mulige strategiske tiltak for rekruttering av utenlandske studenter til norske utdanningsinstitusjoner. I den forbindelse vil vi gjerne snakke med deg, eller den du mener er best egnet, for å få en bedre forståelse for hva dere gjør ved din institusjon for å rekruttere internasjonale studenter og hvilket syn dere har på mulige rekrutteringstiltak. Vi understreker at vi primært er på jakt etter noen som jobber med dette på et strategisk eller overordnet nivå. Vi ønsker en uformell samtale basert på en intervjugaid vi har utviklet. Et referat fra samtalen vil bli oppbevart hos SIU så lenge undersøkelsen pågår og deretter slettet. En analyse av det som kommer fram i intervjuene vil bli publisert i en SIU rapport. Det meste av dette vil presenteres anonymisert eller aggregert, men det kan bli aktuelt å publisere enkeltsitater som kan føres tilbake til deg som enkeltperson. I slike tilfeller vil du få mulighet til å se gjennom sitatet og eventuelt motsette deg publisering. Undersøkelsen er meldt inn til NSD som er SIUs personvernombud som et rutinemessig ledd i vårt arbeid med å sikre behandling av personopplysninger. Prosjektet er planlagt avsluttet i mars 2018. Vi håper dette kan passe for deg/dere en av disse dagene i desember; 4.-6., 13.-15. eller 18.-20. Vi ser for oss en samtale på ca. en time, men dette kan eventuelt justeres for å passe med din timeplan. 2/18 Strategical funding 2017/2018 (2) - 15/01544-235 Strategical funding 2017/2018 (2) : Rev.prosjekt økt utveksling på bachelor i sykepleie - handlingsplan FSH Prosjekt økt utveksling på bachelor i sykepleie - Handlingsplan Styret har satt av strategiske midler på, 1,5 mill til å utvikle økt utreise for Nord universitet sine studenter. Midlene kan brukes på prosjekt i 2017 og 2018. I styremøtet ble det foreslått å satse på de største utdanningene, sykepleie, lærer og økonomi og ledelse. FSH er tildelt kr 500.000. Prosjektet bør forankres i ledelsen ved FSH og blant vitenskapelig ansatte på bachelor sykepleie. Etter fusjon viser statistikk på internasjonalisering (utreise) at det er viktig å få mobilisert både fagmiljøet og studentene særlig i nord-delen av vår sykepleierutdanning. Det vil derfor være viktig å bruke de strategiske midlene på å etablere og utvikle gode avtaler og rutiner for internasjonalisering blant vitenskapelige ansatte og administrasjonen i fakultetet. Økt utreise blant våre studenter forutsetter at ansatte tilrettelegger og informerer om tilbudene som er mulig, i forhold til gjeldende studieprogram. God, oversiktlig informasjon for både vitenskapelig ansatte og studenter er en forutsetning for å motivere og inspirere til internasjonalisering. Arbeidsgruppe/ Internasjonalt kontor Høst 2018 Kommentarer til plan: Pkt: 1, 2 og 6: Gå gjennom eksisterende avtaler og vurdere hvilke avtaler som gir muligheter for utveksling av flest mulig studenter med 3.mnd varighet. Jobbe målrettet med å finne samarbeidspartnere for å etablere og utvikle avtaler som er faglig relevante med tanke på forskningssamarbeid og studentutveksling, både innreise og utreise. Her er det viktig å «finne» interesserte og engasjerte faglige ansatte som kan gjøre faglige vurderinger av gamle og nye avtaler, ha god kjennskap til hver enkelt avtale og kunne bidra til å pleie avtaler slik at de blir dynamiske og aktive over tid. Det er etter erfaring, viktig for å motivere og inspirere studentene til å ta deler av praksis/studie i utlandet. Faglige ansatte som også har kjennskap til fagplanen, må innpasse utreisemulighetene i til de mulighetsrom som fagplanen gir for utreise. Pkt.3: Viktig å jobbe med rutiner og arbeidsfordeling mellom internasjonalt kontor, fakultetsadministrasjonen og vitenskapelig ansatte på de forskjellige studiestedene. Et flytskjema, der alle oppgaver er beskrevet og adressert, vil være et viktig og nyttig redskap. Få etablert lik praksis i forhold til internasjonalisering på hele fakultetet. Pkt.4: Varierende kunnskap om internasjonalisering blant vitenskapelig ansatte, mht krav og forventninger og i fht våre avtaler og praksis. Pkt.5: Viktig å ha gode avtaler og etablerte nettverk i forhold til arbeid med internasjonale emner som kan fases inn i nytt samordnet studieprogram i 2020. Kostnader i planen over er beregnet ut fra en timesats på kr. 600,- pr prosjekttime. Usikker på hvordan dette skal beregnes i et slikt internt prosjekt,

Ansette en ekstern konsulent (prosjekt) med omfattende erfaring innenfor høyre utdanning og internasjonalisering (eventuelt en 10% stilling eller lignende) for å gi råd Moment 1-3 ikke er definert med summer (kostnader) i dette budsjettet med FLU konkluderer likevel at det totale budsjettet (som er definert) ligger nære den tildelte summen på kr. 500,000.

Sammendrag Hei, Mange av de norske utdanningsinstitusjonene reiser i delegasjoner til Kunnskapskontoret i Brussel, for å få et innblikk i hva de kan tilby og hvordan institusjonen kan rigge seg for å bedre utnytte deres kompetanse. https://www.norcore.eu/about Hadde det vært en ide at IU ser på dette? Enten ved å reise selv, eller oppmuntre? Mulig enkelte fagmiljø har vært der allerede, særlig på forskningssiden. Det bør være en såpass stor nok delegasjon med fakultet dekke forskning og utdanning, for at det kan bli et utgangspunkt for videre oppfølging. Høst 2018 kunne være et tidspunkt. Vi prøvde koordinere oss med Forskningsadm, men vår 2018 var ikke gunstig, tidsmessig. Elena har gitt tilbakemelding om at denne type besøk er støtteverdig innen E+ ansattstipend. Saksframstilling Student mobility 2017 Nord University The higher education institutions report the mobility numbers to the Ministry of Education twice per year on exchange students (incoming and outgoing), and on students on the quota program. Students are admitted to an exchange period through a valid agreement, with a starting date and an end date, for the specific student. Exchange students include international students who study in Norway, and Norwegian students (class) who study abroad on the basis of an exchange agreement/quota program. Exchange between Norwegian institutions (national exchange) is not reported. Exchange students on Ph.D. level are reported, and students on agreements with a length of stay less than 3 months. Ph.d.- exchange and exchange less than 3 months do not give incentives through the financial mechanism. Incoming/outgoing students: 3 months + : 10.500 pr head -> study program (any inter institutional agreement) Erasmus+ outgoing students: 3 months + : 15.500 pr head -> study program We separate between two categories: 1. Inter- institutional agreements: One- to- one institutional agreements. Valid, long standing and formalized exchange programs (Erasmus+, Bilateral, North2North, Nordplus, Barentsplus, praksis), that represent an offer to incoming and outgoing students. a. Predictability on both sides b. In depth knowledge on academic and administrative routines on both sides c. Adapted /guided admission rules d. Links education and research 2. Individual agreements: INDIVID students, free movers. Pre -approved subjects at home institution, study at host, post approval at home. No incentives. a. One to one situation b. Admission rules as free mover, in the same category as degree seeking students Students get scholarship and loans from the Lånekasse for both options. Nord University receives no incentives for mobility reported in category 2. Data is reported on semester basis. Spring semester: Terminated agreement 01.01. - 30.6. Autumn semester: Terminated agreement 01.07. - 31.12. An exchange student is only reported once per one given agreement.

The quota students are only registered as quota students as long as they are eligible for loans and scholarship from the Lånekasse. The quota program is no longer running.
