The International Committee includes the comments as actions in the strategy process. Møtebehandling The members made the following comments on how to further work with internationalization internally. Link scientific and administrative staff in both education and research. Clarify expectations to scientific staff, provide opportunities to work specifically with internationalization. Incentives should match the criteria for evaluation. Work with systematization on a faculty level rather than the personal gain, stronger personal involvement, stronger links to student mobility. Developing culture for internationalization of education and research internally. Involve all levels including students in developing possibilities. Include students in research. Quality in learning outcome descriptions. How do we achieve this? Including internationalization and partner institutions in the Research week. Differensiert støtte til de internasjonale studentforeninger etter hvor det er størst andel internasjonale studenter lokalt på studiesteder. 2. Velkomsten er fremdeles kun etablert ved studiested Bodø. Velkomsten er kun operativ ved semesterstart. Det er ønsket at de faglige vitenskapelige får avlastning fra henting og mottak av praksisstudenter som ankommer de andre studiestedene, både til og etter studiestart. Lokalt er det anledning til å ansette studenter på timesbasis som blir lønnet av IU til en annen ordning kommer på plass. 3. Nord universitet som vert er forpliktet til å komme med bidragsytere på den sosiale biten (lokalt musikkinnslag, underholdning). Det er ønsket at studentrepresentanter deltar på selve konferansen. Studenter ansettes som konferanseassistenter og lønnes etter satser lik studentambassadører. Medlemmer får dekket utgifter i forbindelse med konferansen. Det er lagt opp til en teknisk løsning som krever bidrag fra Nord. Arbeid i forkant/etterkant utenfor ordinær arbeidstid (IT/drift, KOLT, EfI, etc) vil potensielt kreve overtid som dekkes av vertskap. Noe av utgiftene skal dekkes av Senter for Internasjonalisering av Utdanningen. Hovedsakelig dekkes lokal logistikk av Nord som eget bidrag. Det endelige regnskapet for IK18 vil være klart i løpet av andre kvartal. 5

I hvilken form Internasjonal Uke skal arrangeres ble diskutert, men ikke konkludert. Hva er målgruppe, og hva ønsker vi å oppnå var noe av det medlemmene diskuterte. Studentrepresentant foreslo tiltak for å rekruttere utreisende studenter under fadderuken. Om noe av tiltakene kan være støtteverdig med midler fra utvalget, kan vurderes etter søknad. 5. Nord universitet er representert ved nasjonale dialogarena/møtesteder. Denne posten fases ut. 6. Godtgjørelse til studentrepresentanter og dekning av reise. Det er ønsket at utvalget møtes fysisk en gang i semesteret da diskusjonene blir bedre og medlemmene blir bedre kjent. Det er kun studentrepresentanter som får dekket reisekostnader fra Internasjonalt Utvalg, 7. Bevertning ved fysiske møter. 8. Ekstratildeling til web prosjekt for utreisende studenter. Overføres til internt tiltak. 9. Dekning til reiser for avtaleopprettelser. Et oppjustert budsjett med regnskap legges fram for utvalget ved møtet 8.mai. Det vil tas stilling til hvilke midler som vil være tilgjengelige for utvikling av avtaleopprettelser. 10. For å kunne mobilisere ansatte fra studiestedene til deltagelse ved IK18 Bodø. Reiseutgifter for tilreisende ansatte, og påmeldingsavgift for lokale faglig vitenskapelige dekkes. Et oppjustert budsjett med regnskap legges fram ved neste utvalgsmøte. 35 18/18 Revised budget 2018 and accounts for Spring / Revised budget 2018 and accounts for Spring 2018 : Revised budget 2018 and accounts for Spring 2018 Saksframstilling The accounts for Spring show that the majority of spending includes costs related to the Internationalisation conference in March 2018, refunds from 2017, renewal of annual institutional memberships, and transfer of funding to ISU Bodø and Steinkjer. The accounts also try to show a more complete picture of what the budget should include of regular (faste) costs, separating between the administrative budget of the International Office from the institutional budgets by supporting institutional activities. That is membership fees to programs allowing faculties to take part in networks beneficial to their activities, welcoming international students to the study places by hiring and paying salary (total costs), meeting cost, and payment for meetings, and travel costs for student representatives when members meet face to face( 2 meetings pr calender year). In regards of IK18, there are still some payments due such as refund to employees(which ones and how much post 10), and some missing invoices from musicians. The budget is revised as the number of Nord staff participating was more than expected, but most of all the conference grew bigger than expected after the budget proposal had been forwarded in October That meant a bigger need to hire more student assistants, than was the case of IK17. The budgeting was an estimation based on the experiences of the previous hosts. This means that the post 9 has been severely reduced. The members are asked to discuss if the International Committee should ask for more funding in 2018 to uphold post 9 as a suggested activity, with a clear indication on how the money should be distributed. The accounts and budget will be further commented in the meeting.

Saksframstilling The international committee needs to update the Annual cycle, so it shows the work that needs to be done the next year. Attached you will find a suggestion for an updated Annual cycle with comments. The board of Nord University have on sak 5/18 Budsjett 2018 decided to give 5 MNOK for work on strategical funding for internationalization. Each faculty was given 1 MNOK. The faculties must hand in an action plan to faculty to pro rector education, pro rector research and development. After they have approved the plans the money will be transferred. The faculties need to report on the funding once on December 31 st 2018 and on December 31 st Should these reports have been given as an orientation to the International committee?
