The one-hour tailgate show is hosted by John Roth. Two-time North Carolina Broadcaster of the Year Bob Harris, the voice of the Blue Devils for the past 33 seasons, calls all the action for Duke fans each game. He was inducted into the Stanly County (N.C.) Sports Hall of Fame in 1993 and the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in Analyst Wes Chesson joins Harris in the booth each game and is in his 30th season providing color commentary for Duke games. 5 Renfree To Backup Lewis Redshirt freshman Sean Renfree will enter the 2009 season as the backup quarterback to Lewis. Renfree is expected to receive some snaps in the opener as Lewis is the only quarterback on Duke s roster with playing experience. Boyette Returns From Injury For Senior Season Redshirt senior running back Re quan Boyette is back this season after missing the 2008 campaign with a season-ending knee injury in the preseason. Sophomores Lead Returning Receivers Sophomores Johnny Williams and Donovan Varner lead the group of returning wide receivers. Williams fi nished second on the team with 30 catches for 327 yards while Varner caught 21 passes for 164 yards and one touchdown. Both players had explosive games in Williams caught 11 passes for 135 yards against Northwestern and Varner had 10 grabs for 73 yards against North Carolina. Kelly & Bell Provide Veteran Experience Junior Austin Kelly and reshirt junior Sheldon Bell are the two most experienced wide receivers for the Blue Devils. Kromah has played in 20 career games primarliy on special teams and received Duke s Outstanding Special Teams Player Award last season. Two Senior Starters In Secondary Returning for their fi nal season at Duke, seniors Leon Wright and Catron Gainey are both listed to start on the left side of the secondary this fall. Wright has started 18 games over the past two seasons at cornerback but missed half of last year due to a leg injury. He has played in 29 career games with 97 tackles, fi ve interceptions and 12 pass breakups. Gainey started 11 of the 12 games last year at safety and has 15 career starts in 35 games played. Rwabukamba s Big Plays Chris Rwabukamba became known for his big plays last season when he sealed a victory over Vanderbilt and made a fourth down stop at Wake Forest. Vanderbilt was driving for the winning score in the fi nal minute but an interception by Rwabukamba at the one-yard line clinched the win for the Blue Devils. Rwabukamba recorded three pass defl ections against Wake Forest, including one on fourth down-and-fi ve at Duke s 33- yard line with three minutes remaining in regulation.
