Backup quarterback Jacory Harris led Miami s comeback by accounting for fi ve touchdowns, including a 15-yard run and four passing scores. Harris fi nished the game with 53 rushing yards on 10 carries while completing 18-of-28 passes for 185 yards and four touchdowns. The 13 interceptions rank tied for fourth nationally. Myron Lewis, Ryan Hamilton and DJ Moore each have recorded three interceptions. Hamilton also has two fumble recoveries and a caused fumble. Patrick Benoist leads the defense with 65 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. The offense has converted when inside the red zone, ranking tied for third in the country with a 96 percent success rate inside the 20-yard line. Cutcliffe History Against Bobby Johnson Since Bobby Johnson started coaching at in 2002, Duke head coach David Cutcliffe has faced him every season except for 2005 and owns a 5-0 record. Cutcliffe held a 3-0 record against Johnson when he was the head coach at Ole Miss. He also helped Tennessee to victories over the Commodores in each of the past two seasons. Since Cutcliffe began coaching as a part time assistant at Tennessee in 1982, he is 23-2 against. The Duke signal caller has thrown two or more touchdown passes in four of the six games this season to give him 11 career multi-touchdown games Michael Tauiliili leads the ACC and ranks sixth nationally with 11.0 tackles per game. He has recorded over 10 tackles in three of the six games this season with 13 against Navy, a career-high 16 against Virginia and 11 at Georgia Tech. He also is third on the team with 6.0 tackles for loss. Jackson Emerges Sophomore running back Tony Jackson rushed for a team-high and career-best 69 yards on 11 attempts against Miami last week. Jackson spearheaded a running game that produced 142 yards and two touchdowns versus the Hurricane defense that had entered the weekend ranking second in the ACC against the run by allowing less than 100 yards per outing. Averaging 6.3 yards per carry on the day, Jackson had fi ve runs of seven or more yards including a 23-yarder. 7 Three Carries, Two Touchdowns Sixth-year senior Tielor Robinson has carried the ball three times this season and has punched it in to the endzone two times. He had a one-yard touchdown run against Navy and then scored from one-yard out last weekend against Virginia. For his career, Robinson has seven rushing touchdowns and six receiving touchdowns. Five of his seven rushing touchdowns came at Army. O-Line Improves Against Miami The Duke offensive line looked like they did early in the season with a strong performance against Miami. The unit paved the way for Duke s 142 rushing yards while allowing only one sack by the Miami defense. It was the fi rst time the Blue Devils rushed for over 100 yards since they went over 150 yards on the ground in each of the fi rst two games of the season. Scoring 30+ Points Duke s offense has a goal of reaching the 30-point mark each week. Cutcliffe-directed offenses have scored 30 or more points in 100 total games at Tennessee, Ole Miss and Duke, compiling a record of in those contests. In the season opener against James Madison, Tauiliili tallied nine tackles, one caused fumble and one quarterback hurry. Against Northwestern he posted eight tackles with one for a loss and one quarterback pressure. In Duke s win over Navy he led the squad with 13 tackles, including one for a loss. He tallied a career-high 16 tackles to go with one interception, one caused fumble and one fumble recovery against Virginia. At Georgia Tech he posted 11 tackles, including two tackles for loss. Defense Dominates Navy In Second Half Trailing at halftime, the Blue Devils defense came out in the second half and shut down the Navy offense. Player Of The Week Senior linebacker Michael Tauiliili was named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week following the Virginia game where he posted a careerhigh 16 tackles to go with an interception, caused fumble and fumble recovery. Tauiliili led the Blue Devils in tackles for the fourth straight game with nine solo stops and a quarterback pressure. Duke Defense Forces Six Virginia Turnovers The Blue Devils defense forced six turnovers in a win over Virginia with four interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Five of the six turnovers came in the second half with Duke scoring three touchdowns following a turnover. On offense, senior running back Re quan Boyette and senior tight end Tielor Robinson were voted captains by their teammates. The squad voted senior middle linebacker Michael Tauiliili and junior outside linebacker Vincent Rey as defensive captains. Coin Toss Duke s opponents have won the coin toss in all six games this season. Each opponent won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. Duke received the fi rst kickoff in each game, scoring a touchdown on the fi rst possession against both Northwestern and Navy.

11 Brothers In-Law This past summer senior wide receiver Ryan Wood married the former Erin Pridemore of Buford, Ga. Erin s younger brother Matt Pridemore is a sophomore teammate of Wood and is also a wide receiver. Brotherly Love The Blue Devils have four sets of brothers, including offensive coordinator Kurt Roper and running backs coach Zac Roper on the coaching staff. Senior tight end Tielor Robinson is joined on the roster by two family members as fi rst cousins Colin and Cameron Jones are redshirt freshman for Duke. Also with freshman Paul Asack coming to Durham, he joins his older brother Zack Asack to give the Blue Devils three sets of brothers. The Duke Family Connection Senior tight end Tielor Robinson, along with his two fi rst cousins Cameron and Colin Jones, has signifi cant ties to the Duke football program. Robinson s uncles Cedric and Walter Jones enjoyed outstanding careers for the Blue Devils. Cedric Jones is the father of Cameron and Colin and played from He caught 99 career passes for 1,732 yards (7th all-time at Duke) and 21 touchdowns (3rd). He earned second team All-America honors as a senior and spent nine seasons with the NFL s New England Patriots. Walter Jones is the uncle of the three current Duke players. He played from and had 119 receptions (10th all-time at Duke) for 1,968 yards (6th) and 17 TDs (t4th) and was on Duke s 1989 ACC title squad. Robinson spent two years at Army before transferring to Duke prior to last season, and then sat out the 2005 campaign due to NCAA regulations. While with the Black Knights, Robinson rushed 114 times for 548 yards and fi ve touchdowns while catching 34 passes for 297 yards and two scores. He earned Conference USA Player of the Week honors after accounting for 193 all-purpose yards and fi ve TDs against Cincinnati in Robinson s mother, Sandra Robinson, is the sister of Cedric and Walter. Childhood Friends Forced to attend different high schools in Houston didn t alter the close-knit relationship between Vince Oghobaase and Michael Tauiliili. Friends since childhood, the pair journeyed together to Durham and will embark on their third season starting together on the Duke defense. Last season Oghobaase led the team with 4.5 sacks while Tauiliili paced the squad with 13 tackles for loss to go along with 108 total tackles. International Ties Along with the two players from Sweden on the Duke roster, Pontus Bondeson and Marcus Lind, the Blue Devils also are represented by Chris Rwabukamba and George Pearkes of Canada. Swedish Connection The Duke roster features two players Pontus Bondeson and Marcus Lind who hail from Sweden. Members of the recruiting class of 2006, Lind, who played one year of prep football at St. Aquinas High School in Florida, committed to the Blue Devils and then informed the Duke coaching staff about his fellow countryman. Both redshirt freshmen, Bondeson and Lind are expected to compete for playing time in on the offensive line. McFadyen Adds Second Sport After lettering four years on the lacrosse team, senior defensive end Ryan McFadyen joined the football program in the spring of and was awarded a scholarship prior to the start of the season. A reserve tight end, McFadyen has seen game action on special teams this season. From , the Mendham, N.J., native helped the Blue Devil lacrosse squad to an overall record of with three ACC regular season championships, two ACC Tournament crowns and three trips to the NCAA Final Four. McFadyen, a defenseman, has played in 56 career games with 25 starting assignments and is expected to play his fi fth and fi nal season of eligibility in the spring of Duke Graduate Wide receiver Ryan Wood has already received his undergraduate degree from Duke. After graduating in May,, with a degree in sociology and a markets and management certifi cate, Wood is now enrolled in the humanities graduate program while he fi nishes out his collegiate football career with the Blue Devils. 12 Dr Pepper ACC Championship Game The ACC will host the fourth championship game on December 6, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. Sponsored by Dr Pepper, the game will pit the champions from the Atlantic and Coastal divisions and be televised live by ESPN on ABC Sports. With a capacity of 65,000, Raymond James Stadium is the home of the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Opened in September, 1998 it features a natural grass surface that has been awarded as the best fi eld in the NFL six times.
