Eligiblity : A Scholarship of the value of Rs.800/- per month shall be awarded to the student who secures highest number of marks among the successful female candidate at the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (XII Standard) of the Maharashtra board of Secondary Education (Vidarbha Division). The Scholarship shall be tenable for 3 Academic years (total 34 months) while the scholar prosecutes regular course of studies in a college affiliated to the Nagpur University, with a view to qualify herse for Admission to the course of B.A. part I/B. As far as possible, the Academic Council shall so fix the period of the tenure of the scholarship that the scholar can complete the whole course required for passing the highest examination of the institution which she has joined. Provided that it shall be open to the Academic Council to terminate the tenure of the scholarship, with effect from such date as it may determine, if it is satisfied, on the report of the head of the institution concerned, that the scholar is not making satisfactory progress at the institution as judged by the results of its examinations. 7.(i) Any money saved out of the income of the endowment shall be allowed to accumulate and, when possible, added to the fund. Examination of the year and is placed in the first or the second division at the examination. 5. The inscriptions on one side of the medal shall be Vasant krishnarao khandekar Gold Medal awarded in the year and Nagpur University on the other side. 6. Every alternate year a Scholarship shall be awarded to the examinees who obtains the highest number of marks from among the successful examinees at the: - Pre-Professional for 1960 (March-April) First Year Science for 1961 First Year Arts and B.Sc. Part-I from 1962 onwards Examination of the year and who offers the Science Group of subject at the examination. The scholar shall prosecute a cours of Studies for the B.Sc. Examination in a college connected with Nagpur University and shall select Mathematics as one of his subjects for the Examination. The scholarship shall be tenable for a period of two years. The academic council may, however, terminate its tenure earlier if the scholar ceases to prosecute his studies to the satisfaction of the Principle of his college, or fails to comply with may of the conditions of the tenure of the scholarship as stated in this scheme. The Scholarship shall not be held in conjunction with any other scholarship. 6. (A) If the examinee eligible for award of the scholarship under Regulation 6 Accepts any other scholarship, it shall be awarded to the examinee who obtains at the examination the next highest number of marks among the examinees who do not accept any other scholarship and are otherwise eligible for award of the scholarship under Regulation The medal shall be presnted to the winners at convocation of the University and the names of the scholar and the medallist for each year shall be published in the University Calendar and communicated to the donor. 8. In the event of two or more examinees obtaining the same number of marks, the medal or the scholarship shall be awarded to the one who is younger or youngest in age.

The Executive Council of the university shall, so far as may be, given effect to the wish of the donor that a photograph of his son, Vasant Krishnarao Khandekar, which he proposes to gift every year, be presented to the winners along with the scholarship and the medal to be presented under paragraph If at any time hereafter Nagpur University institutes a degree in Engineering, the Scholarship shall be awarded for prosecution of a cours for that degree instead of for the B.Sc. degree, the conditions of its award being, in so far as may be, the same as those specified in this scheme. 10. Sc. admitted to the University Teaching deptt. or any other College/Institution affiliated to the Nagpur University has secured highest percentage of marks at the immediately preceding year B.Sc. Final Examination of the Nagpur University. The scholarship shall be held in-conjunction with other Scholarship. 5) 1) The scholarship shall be forfeited on the holder:- i) Creasing to prosecute his studies for the M.Sc. degree as aforesaid. ii) iii) Failing to pass the part I Examination for the M.Sc. degree at the end of the first year of study; or Failing to prosecute his studies with due deligence. 2) The scholarship may then be awarded for the unexpired term to any deserving student who has passed the Part I Examination and who is prosecuting his studies for the Final Examination, or it may be awarded in accordance with clause 4 at the B.Sc. Examination next following. 6) The scholarship shall not be held in conjunction with any other scholarship. If the student who becomes eligible to the scholarship in accordance with clause 4 is financially so well-to-do as not to need it, or does not avail of it, the Academic Council may give it to the next eligible and needy student. Value of Endowment :- face value of Rs. 1,90,000/- ( Rs. One Lac seven thousand ) only. Award : One Scholarship Rs. 1000/- p.m. 1) The Nagpur University will hold the assets of the present trust fund, namely Tarabai Saranjame Udyog Mandir and convert the said asset into approved from of Govt. Securities will be of the type of those yielding annual return. 2) The net income accruing from the fund after deducting administrative charges at the rate of 10% of the total annual interest shall be applied to the award of a Scholarship on the terms set out herein-after. Any surplus income will be added to the trust s fund and the original trusts shall not be used for any other purpose except that stated here, i.e. for the purpose of this scholarship. 3) The said scholarship shall be called Sou. Tarabai Saranjame Scholarship and the fund shall be held in the name of the Sou. Part I Course in University Deppt. of Fine Arts has secured maximum marks in the qualifying Examination for admission to M.F.A. Part-I. (ii) (iii) The Scholarship be restricted to female students pursuing course in creative painting Portrait. Painting applied Arts and such other subjects but excluding drama. If the eligible scholar does not pass M.F.A. Part-I Examination for whatever reasons or having passed the examination does not join M.F.A. Part-II or leaves in the middle of session the scholarship shall automatically be awarded to a student of M.F.A. Part-II class who is found best on the basis of conditions laid down in (ii) above. However for this selection the Head of the Deppt. The student of the Hai-Hai kshatriya Community (also known as kalal, kalar or kalwar) who stands first from among those successful candidates of the Community at the Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Vidarbha Board of Education of the year in which the Scholarship is due to be awarded and who joins the course for the:- Pre-professional for 1960 ( March-April ), OR First year Science for 1961, OR First year Arts and B.Sc. Part I from 1962 onwards. Examination in a college connected with the university. The Scholarship shall be held for three years for B.A. or B.Sc. by a candidate who obtains the highest percentage of marks in the higher Secondary School Certificate Examination and the Pre-University Arts and Science Examination subject to the conditions stated in this Schedule. The holder of the scholarship shall be called The Hai-Hai Kshatriya Education Fund Scholar. 4) The award of the Scholarship shall be made by such officer of the University and at such time as the Academic Council may determine. 5) The scholarship shall not be held in conjunction with any other scholarship and its tenure shall, where the university rules are silent, be subject to the rules in force for the time being for the tenure of the Government scholarships in colleges. 6) The period of tenure of the scholarship shall terminate if the holder:- (i) (ii) (iii) Ceases to study for the B.A. Part I and B.Sc. Part I Examination; or Fails to obtain promotion to the second year of the course; or Fails to prosecute his studies to the satisfaction of the principal of his College. On such termination the scholarship shall be awarded to another candidate on the results of the Vidarbha Secondary School Certificate Examination held next after the termination.

The recipient shall be called the Radhabai Paonaskar Scholar. 2) The Scholarship shall be tenable for 3 Academic years (total 34 months) while the scholar prosecutes regular course of studies in a college affiliated to the Nagpur University, with a view to qualify herse for Admission to the course of B.A. part I/B. Sc. part I of Nagpur University in accordance with its regulations. On the scholar ceasing to prosecute such a course of studies to the satisfaction of the principal at any time during above period, the scholarship shall at once determine. Provided that the Academic Council may for special reasons permit the scholar to hold the scholarship while prosecuting her studies in a college affiliated to any other University constituted under the Act of any State Government or of the Central Government. Terms and Conditions for the Fellowship 1) Candidate must passes M. Sc. in Physics with minimum 55% marks from recognized University preference will be given to student with Materials Science background. 2) He/She should register for Ph. D. Degree with R. T. M. Nagpur University 3) Place of work would be Materials Science Research Laboratory developed by Dr. (Miss) Kamal Singh in the Department of Physics, R. T. M. Nagpur University. 4) The fellowship tenure is for minimum one year and extendable to second or third year depending on the progress. 59 SHTRASANT TUKADOJI MAHARAJ UNIVERSITY RESEARCH STUDENTSHIP 1. Nagpur University shall Award the research studentship of the monthly value of Rs. 1000/- p. m. in the Faculty of Arts, and faculty of Science Respectively. 2. The studentship shall be open to bonafide resident of Vidarbha Region who have received whole of their University Education in one of the institution maintained by or admitted to the privilege of the University and shall be awarded only Two candidate who have obtained the degree of M. A., M. Sc. in the first or Second Division of Nagpur University. 3. The Students shall be tenable for a period of two academic year appropriate cases. The Academic Council may extend the tenure by a further period not exceeding one years. 4. The award of the Studentship shall be made by the Academic Council on the recommendation of a Committee consisting of the Vice-Chancellor (Chairman) the Dean of the faculty of Arts and the Dean of the faculty of Science. 5. The holder of the studentship shall be required to prosecute research on a subject and at an Institution approved by the Academic Council with a view to qualify himself/herself for a doctorate degree in the faculty of Arts and faculty of Science the code may be 6. The recipient of the studentship shall be required to submit a six monthly progress report of the work don by him/her counter signed by the Head /Institution where he she is working. 7. i) The holder of the studentship shall forthwith refund to the University all money received by him/her in respect of studentship in cases of his/her discontinuing the research work before the completion of the prescribed period of two years without the approval in writing of the University. 8. ii) The Academic Council may terminate the tenure of the Studentship at any time on ground of unsatisfactory work for conduct. 9.
