Read the passage given below and answers the questions that follow: 7m Why is thin in? () There is one thing I simply cannot understand the new fad of being fit. For nowadays being fit and being thin is one and the same. People blessed with a craving for sweets or saddled with large frames are looked down upon by the health conscious. And this is what baffles me. () I do not believe in modern doctors. They are bent on scaring the hell out of anyone who has a natural metabolism. No fat, no sweets, no cream and no butter. They might as well add no taste buds, no fun, and no life. Eating is an experience. After all, God has bestowed us with such an elaborate digestive system, complete with smell and sight to aid our enjoyment of food. So, how can eating well be unhealthy? I do not say you must gorge yourself till you burst, but if you crave for chocolate, pick up a bar. How can the loss of any number of inches around the waist rival the soulful satisfaction of eating what you really want to? (3) If you are otherwise healthy, what is wrong in being fat? A woman does not have to fit into a dress made for a sixteen year old girl to be attractive. A man does not have to have a V- shaped torso to warrant a second look. What actually lends beauty to a person, even to his or hers superficial physicality, is the comfort level the person has about himself or herself. One needs to be happy to be in his or her own skin, however unmade like the expanse! There is nothing terrible about occupying more space virtually. (4) Everything in nature accepts the structure it has been given, except man. Why cannot we accept that all of us simply cannot conform to a prescribed body size? It is not natural (for most of us, anyway) to be fat free like the miraculous oils and butters in the market today. () Why do all advertisements feature lean muscular men and svelte (thin and attractive) women? No two persons are the same mentally and emotionally, so why should there be a standard, perfect structure? Especially the Barbie type structure. Why not aspire for a bigger form I say? Your size should match your personality and in my opinion a large body portrays a large heart! (6) So, let us shut off those callous noises, even though they generally begin with for your own good.. Just look at the wonderful advantages of being overweight. You can be sure people will be comfortable around you because they do not have unreasonably gorgeous bodies to match. It is easier for people to get in touch with the real you without being sidelined by shapely legs or fabulous shoulders. You will never be paranoid about gaining a couple of centimeters on the thighs or anywhere else for that matter. (7) And yes, you have an unbeatable defense mechanism if you are fat. Just push the person who is being nasty and sit on him!

Apart from all those known functions, water is important for chemical reactions indigestion and metabolism. It also helps cool the body through perspiration and lubricates our joints. People suffering from arthritis should drink a glass of water every second hour. 4 In the last decade, the 8 x 8 guideline (8 ounce or 40 ml of water, or 8 glasses of water) was followed all over the world. The National Institute of Nutrition in its 0 guidelines prescribed two litres or eight glasses of water per day for a healthy adult. Optimum hydration can be achieved by drinking low-calorie, nutritious beverages such as lemon water, green tea, coconut water, butter milk, besides plain water. Plan your day in a way that you drink enough liquid. The thumb rule should be to include at least one of these beverages as part of your midday meal. In a nutshell, a person requires a minimum of eight glasses of water per day, do not gulp all in one go, divide the number of glasses equally throughout the day and combine them with low-calorie, nutritious beverages whenever possible. 6 Regulate your water intake according to weather conditions for staying adequately hydrated. 7 To conclude, water is the elixir of life. Instead of wasting water, we must adopt rainwater harvesting. Think of states like Rajasthan where water supply is available for a few hours. At some places, there is a great shortage of water. We must use water judiciously and sparingly. What will we leave for the next generation if we use such a precious source carelessly? If things go like this, we all will be fighting over water.
