Se etter at trimhjulet, etter et kort opphold, beveger seg i motsatt retning av spaken. 5. "'. ~ DIRETRIZ DE AERONAVEGABILIDADE ~I~ISTÉRIO DA AERONÁUTICA DEPARTAMNTO DE AVIAÇÃO CIVIL EFETIVIDADE: 27 JUn. 97 DA NS? 97-06-01 The following Emergency Airworthiness Directive EA), issued by the Departamento de Aviaçao Civil DAC) in accordace with provsions of Chpter IV, Title III of Códgo Brasileiro de Aeronáutica - Law NR 7,565 dated 19 December 1986 - and Reguamento Brasileiro de Homlogaçao Aeronáutica RB) 39, applies to all aircraft registered ii the Registro Aeronáutico Brasileiro. No person may operate an aircraft to which this AD applies, uness it has previously comlied with the requirements established herein. EAD nq 97-06-01- EMBRAR - Amendment 39-776 APPLICABILITY: This EAD is applicable to all EMBRAR EMB-120 aircraft mo dels in operation. CAN CELLA TION IREVISION Not applicable. REASON: _ In the investigation of arecent in light engine nacelle fire occurence on an EMB- 120 aircraft equipped with a Pratt & Whitney PWL 18 engine model, it has been found that the. combustion chamber rear drain valve cap, which should be permanently installed, was missing. The absence of the cap permits any eventual amount of non-bured fuel in the conbustion, chamber to be drained inside the nacelle exhaust tube comparment. Although no direct relationship may exist between the uncovered drain and the fire event, it is considered that such condition may exist in other aircraft of the same type and can affect light safety and, therefore, an immediate corrective action is required. Thus sufficient reason exists to issue this EAD without prior notice. valve cap. REQUIRED ACTION: Inspection and installation, if necessar, of the combustion chamber rear drain COMPLIANCE: Unless already accomplished, inspect the combustion chamber rear drain valve cap to ensure that the cap is installed before the first of the next day after the receipt ofthis EAD.
