Kunstgress uten granulat en løsning?
For alle produkter som inneholder en polymerfylling, er det produksjonen av det materialet og dets avhending som vil ha størst miljøpåvirkning. Kunstgress uten granulat har 3-4 ganger så mye fiber som et med granulat To kilo olje gir om lag en kilo plast, så en kunstgressbane uten granulat forbruker opptil 50.000 kg. olje mer

Det er derfor vår plikt å informere klubbene om dette og om konsekvensene vi tror deres valg kan ha

Rennesøy kommune meinte granulat er eit miljøproblem og fylte sand i kunstgraset stikk i strid med råd frå Norges Fotballforbund.

Nå opplever spillerne store utfordringer med det nye kunstgresset klubben har investert i på elleverbanen. Det er helt uten miljøskadelige gummikuler og kostet ifølge styreleder rundt 3,5 millioner. Men nå er seniorspillerne, som til daglig spiller i femtedivisjon, så misfornøyd med kunstgresset at de har fått flyttet de resterende hjemmekampene til Dalgård på Byåsen. De har også flyttet treningene dit.

Hvor stort er egentlig problemet? Både granulat fra bildekk og nytt granulat laget av ulike plasttyper, er mikroplast. Er dette et problem om det ikke spres utenfor banen?

Resultat etter 1. år Konklusjon: Fra kunstgressbanen i Kalmar er det kun 0,3 kg mikroplast pr. år vi ikke kan hindre. Av dette kommer mindre enn 1. gram fra SBR
Växsjø kommune Innførte tiltak mot granulatsvinn i 2018. Intensiverte vedlikeholdet av kunstgresset Resultat 4 tonn granulat «til overs» istedenfor å måtte supplere med 3-4 tonn. Benyttet pengene de sparte på granulatkjøp til ytterligere vedlikehold

UEFA sitt svar til ECHA Forbud mot granulat i kunstgress fra 2022 for drastisk basert på tilgjengelig forskning. Foreslår en overgangsperiode på 6 år for granulat i kunstgressbaner for å kunne opprettholde aktivitet og bevare de samfunnsøkonomiske fordelene som følger av kunstgress. Dette ville det gi lokale myndigheter, idrettsforbund og industrien, tid til å finne gode alternativer til eksisterende hvis videre studier kan bevise farene og risikoen for mennesker og miljø forbundet med granulat brukt i kunstgress.

New requirements for artificial turf Top football follows FIFA Quality Pro standard The new Scandinavian requirements are made for grassroot football
1. Approved FIFA QUALITY or IMS laboratory test report from an independent FIFA-approved testing institute for the exact same artificial turf system installed.
2. Declaration from artificial turf supplier, confirming that the artificial turf system meets the additional Scandinavian requirements: - Stabilizing infill - Granules - Pad - Approval of the subbase
3. Approved Scandinavian field test by an independent FIFA-approved test institute, 3-10 months after the installation of the artificial turf system

Scandinavian requirements infill The infill (granules) used in an artificial turf system must be delivered from the same producer as the infill used in the approved FIFA Quality/IMS laboratory test. Only exception is for the SBR, that can be delivered from another supplier if the SBR infill has the same quality and characteristics as the one used in the approved FIFA Quality/IMS laboratory test. In artificial turf systems where performance infill is applied, the depth of the performance infill shall be 15mm. The free pile height shall be 17mm.
