2 DER MENNESKER MØTES / WHEREVER PEOPLE MEET I NDEX S IDE / PAGE FORA FORM ble grunnlagt i 1929, og er en av Skandinavias ledende leverandører av stoler, sittegrupper og bord til kontraktmarkedet. Forretningsideen er å lage møbler til steder der mennesker møtes. Det er i møte med andre mennesker verdier skapes. FORA FORM skal gjennom kompetanse og helhetlige løsninger bidra til både sosiale og effektive møteplasser. DESIGN Våre produkter har høstet en rekke nasjonale og internasjonale designpriser. Dette som en naturlig konsekvens av et langsiktig og målrettet arbeid i generasjoner. Det tar lang tid å bygge en designprofil og en kultur som kan forvalte den. Det stilles meget strenge krav til estetikk, nyskaping og brukerfordeler i Fora Forms fremtidsdesign. Fora Form sin Designmanual legges til grunn, når nye produkter utvikles, i tett samarbeid med anerkjente, frittstående designere. MILJØ FORA FORM arbeider bevisst for å redusere den totale miljøbelastning, ved å sette miljøspørsmål i et helhetlig perspektiv, fra råvareuttak til det ferdige produkt. Undersøkelser viser at den mest avgjørende enkeltfaktor for å bevare miljøet er å utvikle produkter med lang levetid. Fora Form s Design Manual is the foundation used when new products are developed, in close cooperation with renown and freelance designers. ENVIRONMENT FORA FORM works consciously to reduce the total environmental load, by putting environmental questions in full prospective, from choice of raw materials to the finished product. Studies show that the single most critical factor in relation to preserving the environment is the development of products with a long life. CITY ble tegnet i 1954 som hovedfagsoppgave på Statens Kunst og Håndtverkskole og var den første stolen produsert i Norge basert på lamineringsteknologien. Skallet er helt originalt med sin omsluttende form og utsøkte komfort. CITY-stolen sin suksess resulterte i at Fora Form tok en ny strategisk retning innenfor produktutvikling, produksjon og markedsføring. En hel serie av skallstoler med navnet Quantum Range ble utviklet på -60 tallet, inspirert fra denne stolen. CITY egner seg godt til kafe-/kantiner, til rekkemøblering og som lett konferansestol. Stolen kan utstyres med løs setepute. CITY was designed in 1954 for a Master's thesis at the National College of Art and Design, and it was the first chair manufactured in Norway based on lamination technology. The shell is highly original with its encompassing shape and exquisite comfort. The success of the CITY chair resulted in Fora Form adopting a new strategic approach to product development, production and marketing. An entire series of shell chairs called the Quantum Range was developed in the 1960s, based on this chair. CITY is well suited for use in cafés/ canteens, for seating in rows and as a light conference chair. The chair can be equipped with a loose cushion. P A G E 8 P A G E 9

7 NEXT Design: Fredrik and Solveig Torsteinsen Promac, Stavanger. Interior: Interiørarkitekt Torun Lie AS Tactile qualities, authentic materials and integrated details make Next stand out from the crowd. Next has been designed with large meetings points in mind, for example cafes, canteens, auditoriums, churches and conference rooms. Promak in Stavanger chose Next II in oak veneer both for chairs and tabletops. The chairs can be delivered with removable seat and back cushions. Taktile kvaliteter, autentiske materialer og integrerte detaljer skiller Next fra mengden. Next er spesielt tiltenkt større møteplasser som kafèer, kantiner, auditorier, kirker og konferanserom. 8 COPENHAGEN CHAIR Design: Lars Tornøe, Tveit & Tornøe Det er langt mellom de virkelige møbelsmykker. Copenhagen chair er nettopp et møbelsmykke. Stolen er utfordrende, men likevel myk og harmonisk. Den kan stå alene som en skulptur eller flere sammen i grupper. Copenhagen chair har allerede oppnådd stor oppmerksomhet i designpressen og den har av Innovasjon Norge vært brukt i en rekke internasjonale utstillinger for å fremme norsk design. The real gems of furniture are few and far between. The Copenhagen chair is precisely such a gem. It is challenging, but still smooth and harmonious. It can stand alone like a sculpture, or you can place it in groups. The Copenhagen chair has already been the focus of much attention in the design press, and Innovation Norway has used the chair in a number of international exhibitions to promote Norwegian design. 9 JAZZ COLLECTION Design: Cirkus Design Rønning Invest, Stavanger. Rønning Invest chose Jazz chairs and tables in light birch veneer. The tables can be equipped with fastenings for hanging the chairs on, which makes cleaning the premises much easier. The series is timeless and its elegant details include the cone-shaped legs, no visible screws and the light style of the seat/back laminate. The Norwegian Design Council has awarded the chair/bar stool the Award for Design Excellence and the Classic Award for Design Excellence. Rønning Invest valgte Jazz stoler og bord i lys bjørk finer. Bordene kan utstyres med oppheng for stol, og derved lette renhold av lokalet. Serien er tidløs og elegante detaljer ivaretas gjennom konede ben, ingen synlige skruer og et lett uttrykk i sete-/rygglaminatet. Stol/barkrakk har mottatt både Merket for God Design og Klassikerprisen fra Norsk Designråd. P A G E 14 P A G E 15

Interior: Mogens Daarbak AS Statoil ASA, Stavanger. 2 - Statoil ASA, Stavanger. 3 - Stavanger Den Jyske Bank benytter interiør og symbolikk bevisst i sin profilering av selskapet som en annerledes bank. Den Jyske Bank consciously uses furniture and symbols in its efforts to establish the company s image as a different and modern bank. Statoil har valgt Toko til en rekke kantiner. Både overstoppet og i finert utgave med setepute. Statoil has chosen TOKO for a number of its canteens. Available both upholstered and in a veneer version with a seat cushion. P A G E 16 P A G E 17

11 LOOP Design: Johan Verde KMD, Aalborg. Interior: Mogens Daarbak AS KMD, Danmark valgte LOOP som et tydelig profileringselement i resepsjonen. Et åpent og stort rom med store vindusflater yter produktet rettferdighet. KMD, Denmark chose LOOP as a distinctive profiling element in its reception area. Interior: Andersen & Flåte AS. 4 - Jyske Bank, Aalborg. 5 - Aligator film, Bergen. PLANET was launched in 1965 and is now a classic. PLANET was the first spherical chair in Norwegian furniture history, and the name alludes to the first space journey and the entry of Pop Art furniture onto the Norwegian market. PLANET is versatile and can be used both as visitor s chair and conference chair. PLANET ble lansert i 1965 og er i dag en klassiker. PLANET var den første kuleformede stolen i norsk møbelhistorie, og navnet vitner om historiens første romferd og varslet Pop Art-møblenes inntog i Norge. 13 COX Design: Olav Eldøy Trygg Vesta valgte COX club stoler og sofa til inngangspartiet til nybygget i Bergen. Stramme linjer, en presis søm og et særpreget understell gir COX et distinkt uttrykk. 15 PROGRAM Design: Torstein Nilsen / Sigurd Strøm Statoil ASA, Oslo. Interior: AROS arkitekter AS STATOIL chose a stylistically uncluttered, timeless sofa for this informal meeting place. Art, warm lighting and an open fire creates a good setting for good conversations. PROGRAM includes modular systems and individual chairs, sofas and tables. Both curved and angled elements are available. For a more complete presentation of the system, see STATOIL valgte en stram og tidløs sofa til denne uformelle møteplassen. Kunstnerisk utsmykning, varmt lys og levende ild skaper en god ramme for den gode samtalen. PROGRAM består både av modulsystem og selvstendige sofaer, stoler og bord. 17 CONVENT Design: Komplot Design STATOIL valgte GETZ VIP og CONVENT bord med spesialgeometri og nedfellbare skjermer. Styringssystem setter rommet raskt i ønsket bruksmodus. STATOIL chose the GETZ VIP and CONVENT table with its special geometry and recessed monitor option. The control system quickly sets the room to the desired mode of use. Det bølgelaminerte skallet gir GETZ familien en distinkt identitet. Stolene leveres med flere typer understell tilpasset ulike behov og brukssituasjoner. The wave-shaped laminated shell gives the GETZ family a distinct identity. The chairs are available with different bases for different needs and situations. De fleste CONVENT oppsettene har langsgående kabelbrønn og luke som standard. Dette gir bordet et ryddig uttykk og stor kapasitet vedr. strøm og nettverkstilkobling. Most versions of CONVENT have longitudinal cable openings and covers as standard features. This gives the table a tidy appearance and a large capacity in terms of power supply and network connection. The uncluttered and elegant back gives the room a tidy look and users experience a high level of comfort. Viva II is the same chair, but with arms and here shown in a fully upholstered version. TRYGG VESTA valgte Viva I som auditoriestol. En ren og elegant rygg gir lokalet et ryddig uttrykk og brukerne opplever høy komfort. Viva II er samme stol men med armlen og her i overstoppet utgave.
