Hvis du får meldingen Finner ingen nettverk, sjekk om trådløskortet er slått på. NB! Hvis du fortsatt får feil må du slå på WLAN Autoconfig, se side 13 for feilsøking. If your computer can t find any networks you have to turn the network card on. NB! If you still get an error message you have to start WLAN Autoconfig, see page 13 for problem solving. 4
Velg Koble til et trådløst nettverk manuelt og klikk Neste. Choose Manually connect to a wireless network and click Next. 5
1. Skriv inn eduroam (pass på at det er skrevet rett) i feltet for Nettverksnavn. 2. Velg WPA2-Enterprise som Sikkerhetstype. 3. Velg AES som Krypteringstype. 4. Kryss av for Start denne tilkoblingen automatisk og klikk Neste. 1. Type eduroam (be sure it s written exactly like this) as the Network name. 2. Choose WPA2-Enterprise as security type. 3. Choose AES as Encryption type. 4. Mark the box at Start this connection automatically and click Next. 6
Velg Endre tilkoblingsinnstillinger. Choose Change connection settings. 7
Fjern alle kryss unntatt foran Koble til automatisk og klikk på Sikkerhet. Remove all marks except for Connect automatically. and choose Security. 8
1. Sjekk at Sikkerhetstype er WPA2-Enterprise og Krypteringstype er AES. 2. Sjekk at Godkjenningsmetode er Beskyttet EAP (PEAP). 3. Kryss av for Hurtigbufre brukerinformasjon for påfølgende. 4. Klikk på Innstillinger. 1. Check that Security type is WPA2-Enterprise and Encryption type is AES. 2. Check that Authentication method is Protected EAP (PEAP). 3. Mark Cache user information for subsequent connections. 4. Click Settings. 9
1. Fjern krysset ved Valider serversertifikat 2. Sjekk at Godkjenningsmetoden er Sikret passord (EAP-MSCHAP v2) 3. Fjern alle kryss unntatt for Aktiver rask gjenoppretting av forbindelse 4. Klikk Konfigurer 1. Uncheck the box at Validate server certificate 2. Be sure that the Authentication method is Secured password (EAP- MSCHAP v2) 3. Remove all markings except for Enable fast reconnect 4. Click Configure 10
Pass på at det ikke er krysset av i dette feltet. Klikk OK i alle foregående vinduer for å lagre konfigurasjonen Be sure to uncheck this box. Click OK in all open windows to save your configurations Etter en stund skal du få opp en boble i nederste høyre hjørne på skjermen. Klikk på den for å få opp innloggingsvinduet. After a while you you should see a popup window in the lower right corner on your screen. Click this to get the logon box. 11
Skriv inn <brukernavn>@uit.no og passordet. Ikke skriv noe i Påloggingsdomene. Enter <username>@uit.no and your password. Leave the field Domain blank. Det kan ta litt tid før du er pålogget. Du kan sjekke om du er pålogget ved å holde markøren over ikonet for trådløst nettverk. Du vil da få denne meldingen: It may take some time until you re connected. Move the cursor over the wireless network icon. A popup window will reveal your network connection status: 12

Velg Klassisk visning og Adminitrative verktøy. Choose Classic view and Administrative tools. Velg Tjenester. Choose Services. 14
Scroll ned i listen over tjenester og velg WLAN AutoConfig. Scroll down the list of services and choose WLAN AutoConfig 15
1. Sett Oppstartstype til Automatisk. 2. Klikk Start og deretter OK. Gå tilbake til begynnelsen av manualen. 1. Set Startup type to Automatic. 2. Click Start and then OK. Start again from the beginning of this manual. 16
