Be blinded by the bright lights of Las Vegas, feel the heat as you step foot into the hottest place on Earth, Death Valley National Park, gaze up at the magnificent Giant Sequoias in Yosemite and then head to San Francisco for a stroll along the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Finish by topping up your tan on some of those gorgeous Californian beaches along the Pacific Coast... Now that's what we call an adventure through the west coast of America! Reiserute Los Angeles & San Diego Start your two week west coast USA tour with a chance to check out star-studded Hollywood Boulevard for a holiday snap of the famous sign and a stroll along the Walk of Fame. Say goodbye to LA and hello to the action-packed city of San Diego. Laze in grassy Balboa Park and explore the famous San Diego Zoo home to over 3,000 incredible animals.
San Diego is home to some awesome beaches so no trip would be complete without feeling the sand between your toes at Mission Beach and topping up your Californian tan. San Diego has the perfect environment for so many beachfront activities; HiQPdf go rollerblading, Evaluation cycling 03/10/2017 or take to the water for a spot of surfing. Later, cruise the Gaslamp Quarter and experience the heart of San Diego's nightlife. Accommodation: Camping included Lake Havasu & Colorado River Feel the heat beneath the blue skies of the Mojave Desert as you drive through A-Grade Arizona. Get your cameras at the ready as you reach Salvation Mountain, which you may recognise from the movie 'Into the Wild'; a surprising colourful desert oasis which begs to be photographed. Follow the yellow brick road to the top of the majestic sand dunes for some awesome views. Did you know that the original London Bridge was relocated to Lake Havasu in the 1831? Don't believe us? Well you'll just have to see it to believe it and that's exactly what you'll do this afternoon. After all the desert heat, you'll be eager to cool off with a dunk in the refreshing Lake Havasu. Accommodation: Camping included Grand Canyon Nothing you have ever seen will prepare you for what you're about to see next, the mighty Grand Canyon! Hike from the forest above to the desert below, red rock to white powder or take an optional helicopter flight for a birds-eye view and marvel at the brilliant colours. The canyon depths are nothing short of mind-blowing! As for the sunrise you will never have seen such an incredible sight! Accommodation: Camping included Las Vegas Today you travel along a section of the original Route 66, which at one time, was the only way to travel on the great American road trip. You'll stop off in Seligman, where you'll have the chance to buy some classic Americana memorabilia for your friends and family back home. Next up is the desert neon city of Las Vegas. Lounge by the pool and soak up some desert sun before heading out on a limousine tour of the Strip. Indulge in an all-you-can-eat buffet, take in a show or simply enjoy the attractions many of the hotel resorts have to offer. For the best view of Sin City take to the sky on an optional helicopter flight down the Strip. Accommodation: Hotels included in tour price Death Valley National Park Today you're in Death Valley National Park, the hottest, driest and lowest place on earth and we're definitely not exaggerating when we say it's hot. The mercury tips at over 130 degrees in the summer, but it's this heat that has created the spectacle that everyone comes to see. This is a barren and geographically awesome landscape, with never-ending salt flats and a little place the locals like to call the 'Devils Golf Course'. This is a great place to grab some props and have some fun creating some great shots. You'll spend the night in nearby Bishop, where thankfully it's not quite as hot! Accommodation: Camping included Yosemite National Park You won't know where to focus your gaze as you drive along winding roads that look out across the beautiful Sierra Nevada. The scenery you pass by will have you itching to get your hiking boots on and go explore. Yosemite National Park is nature's greatest backyard and with both easy and strenuous hikes you're bound to find a trail that suits your ability, and whichever trail you choose you'll be amazed at the magnificent waterfalls and epic cliff faces. Famous for its Giant Sequoias and abundance of incredible wildlife such as bears and coyotes, you should keep your camera to hand at all times. If that isn't enough you can even float down the Merced River on a rubber ring for a different perspective of this truly awesome place. Accommodation: Camping included San Francisco Fall for San Francisco's charm with a tour of Haight-Ashbury, home to the original hippie movement and some great boutique shops and cafes. No visit to the `City by the Bay' would be complete without a stroll or a cycle over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Grab a bowl of the famous clam chowder at Fisherman's Wharf before heading over to Pier 39 to see the hundreds of sea-lions chilling out. Included is a guided tour of Chinatown and North Beach so you can see where the beatniks hung out. Walk through the gates of the largest Chinese community outside of China in exotic Chinatown. You'll never be bored in this chilled out West Coast city. Pacific Coast It's time to hit the road along the rugged Pacific coastline and explore the beautiful wilderness of the Big Sur, not forgetting the must-see McWay Falls, an 80 foot waterfall that cascades on to the secluded beach below. As you stroll along coastal paths keep your eyes peeled for whales and sea-lions that can be seen here at certain times throughout the year. Settle in to camp and watch the blazing Californian sunset. This is beach life at its very best and it doesn't get much better than this! Accommodation: Camping included Santa Barbara & Los Angeles Before you head back to LA make sure you make the most of the beautiful beaches with a stop at Santa Barbara. With miles of sandy white beaches, streets full of unique shops and art galleries, you really won't want to leave. If you still haven't had your beach fix then be sure to stop off at Venice Beach to watch the cool kids on their boards before calling time on your adventure through the west coast of America.
