PREFACE Wage statistics for salaried employees in insurance activity as on I September 1978 have been compiled in the same way as in previous years. Someof the main figures in these statistics were published in the Weekly Bulletin of Statistics no. 1/2, 1979. Wage statistics for various groups of wage earners are compiled by the Central Bureau of Statistics. The statistics are published in separate publications for each group in the series NOS. Furthermore, the publication Wage Statistics 1978 will give a survey of all wage statistics compiled for this year. This publication has been prepared under the supervision of Miss Sigrid Heistad. 8 1. Omfanget av statistikken LOnnsstatistikken for ansatte i forsikringsvirksomhet pr. 1. september 1978 bygger pa oppgayer fra 491 forsikringsavdelinger.. En forsikringsavdeling er.her definert som den del av et forsikringsselskap som ligger innen en og samme kommune. I alt 324 avdelinger sysselsatte fmrre enn 3 heltidsansatte pr. 1. september 1978. Disse avdelingene hadde til sammen 205 heltidsansatte og 241 deltidsansatte. Statistikken omfatter alle ansatte unntatt de som vesentlig arbeider pa provisjonsbasis og uten fast ukentlig arbeidstid. I alt omfatter statistikken 7 105 ansatte. Av disse vat 73 administrerende direktorer og 956 deltidsansatte. Skjema og rettledning som ble nyttet til innhenting av lonnsoppgavene, er gjengitt i publikasjonen Lonnsstatistikk for funksjonmrer i forsikringsvirksomhet 1. september 1975. 2. Grupperingen av de ansatte Opplysningene for administrerende direktorer og deltidsansatte er bearbeidd for seg og gitt i tabellene 10, 11 og 12. De andre ansatte er I statistikken gruppert etter folgende kjennemerker: KjOnn Alder Stillingsgruppe og stilling Utdanning Forsikringsgruppe Forsikringsavdelingens storrelse LOnnsklasse Landsdel Tjenestetid Storrelsen av manedsfortjenesten Aldersfordelingen er basert pa de ansattes alder ved utgangen av ret. Grupperingen etter stilling er basert pa opplysninger am selskapenes stillingsbetegnelser. Det er gitt tall bare for noen av stillingene. Tallene for de spesifiserte stillinger vii derfor ikke alltid summere seg opp til de totaltall coin er gitt. Det er skilt mellom 2 forsikringsgrupper: Livsforsikringsselskaper og skadeforsikringsselskaper. Ved grupperingen etter forsikringsselskapenes storrelse har en lagt til grunn forsikringsavdelingens storrelse og ikke hele foretakets storrelse. StOrrelsen er bestemt pa grunnlag av tallet ansatte i avdelingen. Grupperingen etter lonnsklasse er i samsvar med inndelingen i lonnsavtalen mellom Livsforsikringsselskapenes Arbeidsgiverforening, Skadeforsikringsselskapenes Arbeidsgiverforening og Forsikringsfunksjonmrenes Landsforbund. Avtalens regulativ er delt inn i 12 lonnsklasser. LOnnsklasse 2 gjelder for enklere kontorarbeid. Lonnsklasse 3 gjelder for mer krevende, vanlig kontorarbeid. LOnnsklassene 4 og 5 gjelder for arbeid son krever smrlig innsikt eller erfaring, og som utfores selvstendig. LOnnsklassene 6-13 nyttes for ansvarsfullt arbeid som krever smrlige kvalifikasjoner. En del av de ansatte blir lont over lonnsklasse 10, men or ikke innplassert I lonnsklassene 11, 12 eller 13. Enkelte andre ansatte kan ogsa N.Tre lont utenfor lonnsklassene. Det er en del forsikringsselskaper som ikke folger lonnsavtalen for forsikringsfunksjonmrer. Ved grupperingen av de ansatte er det skilt mellom folgende grupper: 1. Ansatte i selskaper som folger lonnsavtalen for forsikringsfunksjonmrer a. Ansatte lent over lonnsklasse 10, men ikke innplassert i lonnsklassene 11, 12 eller 13 b. Ansatte lont etter lonnsklassene 2-13 C. Ansatte lont utenfor lonnsklassene 2. Ansatte i selskaper som ikke folger lonnsavtalen for forsikringsfunksjonmrer.

9 Ved grupperingen etter landsdel er hovedkontoret til Nordengruppen a/s, som er flyttet fra til Bmrum, tatt med under. Grupperingen etter de ansattes tjenestetid er det samlede antall ar de ansatte bar vmrt sysselsatt i forsikringsvirksomhet, ikke bare tjenestetiden i det selskap hvor vedkommende var sysselsatt 1. september 1978. 3. LOnnsbegrepene Avtalt lonn pr. maned er 1/12 av den avtalte brutto arslonn pr. 1. september 1978 uteri fradrag for pensjonsinnskott og skatter. Faste tillegg til lonn pr. maned er 1/12 av arsverdien av faste tillegg til avtalt brutto arslonn, som f.eks. barnetillegg, forsorgertillegg, fast overtidsgodtgjoring, fast reisegodtgjoring pg 1/12 av arsverdien av naturalytelser som fri bolig, elektrisk strom, brensel, arbeidsklmr etc. Gratiale, provisjon etc. er Okonamiske ytelser fra arbeidsgiveren (utenom overtidsgodtgjoring) som ikke er avtalt som fast arslonn. Oppgavegiverne ble bedt on a oppgi opptjent gratiale, provisjon etc. i 1977. 1/12 av denne arsverdien er brukt som anslag for gratiale, provisjon etc. pr. maned. Agentprovisjon for tegning av forsikringer er ikke tatt med. Manedsfortjeneste i alt er ilk avtalt lonn pr. maned pluss faste tillegg til lonnen pr. maned, pluss gratiale, provisjon etc. pr. maned. OvertidsgodtgjOring pr. maned i 1977 er 1/12 av utbetalt overtidsgodtgjoring i 1977. Denne er ikke inkludert i manedsfortjenesten. 4. LOnnsavtalen Lonnsavta1en for ansatte i forsikringsvirksomhet ble sist revidert varen 1978. Det ble gitt et generelt tillegg pa 5,5 prosent og et lavtlonnstillegg pa 0,7 prosent fra 1. mai 1978.

10 1. Coverage The wage statistics cover 491 insurance units. An insurance unit comprises all parts of an insurance company's administration which is located in one and the same municipality. The insurance companies may thus be subdivided into several units. The statistics include 324 units with less than 3 full-time employees. These units engaged 205 full-time employees and 241 part-time employees. Employees chiefly working on a commission basis and employees without regular weekly hours are not included in the wage statistics. The statistics give figures for 7 105 employees, of which 73 are managing directors and 956 part-time employees. 2. Classifications of the employees The employees are classified by sex, age, occupational group and occupation, education, insurance group, number of employees, salary grade, region, number of service years and by size of monthly earnings. The statistics give wage figures specified for employees in life insurance companies and non-life insurance companies. The statistics for managing directors and part-time employees are given in the tables, 10, 11 and 12. 3. Wage concepts Monthly earnings are defined as the fixed gross monthly salary as on 1 September 1978 plus fixed additional payments per month, such as fixed overtime payment, plus 1/12 of bonus etc. actually received during the previous year. Varying overtime allowances are not included in the monthly earnings. 4. The wage agreement In 1978 a new two-year wage agreement was concluded. From 1 May 1978 the agreement gave an increase in wages of 5.5 per cent. In addition 0.7 per cent was given on the lowest wages.
