Day 1: Alice Springs Airport and Glen Helen Resort Our Adventure starts when we pick you up from the Alice Springs Airport at 4.30 and begin our journey with a 150km scenic drive through the West MacDonnell ranges Glen Helen Resort. 6

Arriving at our camp, situated on the outskirts of the MacDonnell Range; enjoy an easy walk to Glen Helen Gorge and an amazing sunset over Mt Sonder (Rwetyepme). Then relax for the night around the camp fire. Søndag 9. februar Day 2 Western MacDonnell Ranges to Lilla (Watarrka National Park) This morning we rise early and after a tasty breakfast we travel the short distance to Ormiston Gorge. The hike along the Ghost Gum walk will enable students to see the true natural beauty of this area. It s back to camp for an early lunch and pack up before beginning our journey through the ranges to the aboriginal community of Lilla (Sweet Water). Along the way we will stop to admire the splendour of the ranges, Gosses Bluff and the undulating hills of the Merinee Loop road. We arrive at our camp site in the late afternoon in time for the traditional custodians to greet and meet students, and to hold a short smoking ceremony. This ceremony involves lighting a fire with special native leaves that create smoke. This is a traditional welcoming ceremony that allows students to become one with the spirits of this particular country and teaches them about the Tjukurpa (dreamtime) of the area. Then settle down for a tasty dinner and stories around the campfire. Mandag 10. februar Day 3; Kings Canyon, Bush Tucker, Dot Painting, Story Telling and Team Building 7

We begin our morning with an early hike along the 6.5km Kings Canyon rim walk. Discover the Lost City, the picturesque oasis that is the Garden of Eden and the breath taking sheer cliffs of the North and South Walls. The walk takes approximately 3 hours however there is no rush. After conquering the Canyon, after which we will head back to camp at Lilla. After an early lunch students will have the opportunity to participate in some cultural activities including: Sit down with Aboriginal artists and do some dot painting or make traditional jewellery if you choose. Be introduced to the variety of bush foods available and the importance of looking after our native plants and their spirits. A cultural walk at the base of the George Gill ranges where you will be introduced to the ancient rock art and history of the Luritja people of the area. Learn about the traditional tools and weapons and have to opportunity to be shown how to use some of them Enjoy another relaxing night around the campfire with a camp fire dinner. B,L,D Tirsdag 11. februar Day: 4 Lilla to Uluru Enjoy an early morning breakfast, packing up and saying good bye to the Lilla community. We journey out through the desert sands towards Yulara, along the way we take in the beauty of Attila (Mt Connor) and the vast salt lakes that scatter the terrain. We arrive at our campsite at Yulara in time for lunch After lunch we travel into the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, our first stop is the the Anangu Cultural Centre, offering insight into the traditional ways and beliefs of the desert people. Next we head to the base of Uluru for a guided tour of the Mala walk. This allows you to explore ancient caves, aboriginal art and learn about traditional ways of the Anangu people and the oldest culture in the world. This is an opportunity for the kids to really take in the magic of Uluru. If there is time before sunset - we can head back into Yulara where the students will have the opportunity to go on a 45 minute camel ride (at own expense - $50) Enjoy a fantastic sunset over Uluru before settling in to a delicious dinner and stories around the campfire. 8

Onsdag 12. February Day: 5 Yulara to Erldunda This morning we are up early and head off to view the sun rise over Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). We then go exploring through the domes as we embark on the Valley of the Winds hike (6.5km). Here we will learn about the geology of the area and the amazing way in which this place was created. After lunch and a swim back at camp we will pack up and begin our journey towards Alice Springs. Tonight we will stay at our campsite at Erldunda Road house. B,L,D Torsdag 13. February Day 6 This morning we enjoy an early breakfast and packing up before heading into Alice Springs along the Stuart Highway to the airport where we will have you in time for your flight.
