NCAA Championships 6-Moyer went - in his second trip to nationals, including his first career win at the NCAA Championships. In the first round, Moyer was defeated by fall by sixth-seeded Ryan Lang of Northwestern with : to go in the second period. The win came in the midst of a fivematch winning streak for Moyer, and was the second of three straight wins by fall for Moyer. Moyer came back from losing three of four matches to defeat th-ranked David Hoffman of Virginia Tech, -, to get back on the winning track. After a pair of losses, Moyer won both of his matches on Sunday at the National s, including a - major decision triumph over sixth-ranked Daniel Frishkorn of Oklahoma State. That win sparked a five-match winning streak, including three straight pins. Moyer closed the season with losses to second-ranked Teyon Ware of Oklahoma and top-ranked Nate Gallick of Iowa State. 5-Moyer earned the starting job at pounds midway through the -5 season. The son of Dennis and Dorsha Moyer, Dominick is a nutrition, exercise and health science major.

3 Marc Harwood-65 Senior 6 NCAA Qualifier Returning Starter Returning Letterwinner NU Co-Redshirt of the Senior Marc Harwood will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive year and compete for All-America honors in his second straight season as Nebraska s starter at 65 pounds. NCAA Championships 6-Harwood went - in his first career trip to the NCAA Championships. In the first round, Harwood was defeated by major decision at 65 pounds by West Virginia s Larry Hall,. Hall took control of the dual by outscoring Harwood 6- in the second period. Harwood saw his season come to an end with a - major decision loss to Missouri s Matt Pell. Big Championships 6-Harwood finished fourth at the 6 Big Championships with a - record. Harwood was awarded a wild-card bid to nationals, as he faced a tough weight class in which all five wrestlers were ranked. The No. seed, Harwood won his openinground match with Oklahoma s Jerrod King,, before falling to top-ranked Johny Hendricks of Oklahoma State and second-ranked Trent Paulson of Iowa State. 5-Harwood was - in his two matches in his first career appearance at the Big Championships. Harwood won six of his first seven matches, including a sixth-place finish at the Kauffman-Brand Open and a pin of Wyoming s Gary Dack on Nov. 6. After a loss to thirdranked Ryan Churella of Michigan, Harwood rebounded to beat fourth-ranked Matt Nagel of Minnesota, -, on Dec., starting a fivematch winning streak. Harwood won back-to-back matches by major decision before heading to the National s and wrestling to a - record. Harwood ended the season losing to three ranked wrestlers in conference duals. 5-Harwood spent most of the season as Nebraska s starter at 7 pounds. After losing his first match of the Harold Nichols Open to start the campaign, Harwood won of his next 5 matches. In his dual debut against West Virginia on Nov. 6, Harwood capped a three-match win streak by Nebraska against West Virginia with his 5- overtime victory over Ryan Wilman. The win clinched the dual victory for Nebraska. Harwood followed up that clutch performance with a third-place finish at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. Included among Harwood s six wins were three bonus-point victories and a win over ninth-ranked Nick Roy of Michigan. Harwood was ranked th among the nation s 7-pound wrestlers after that weekend. Harwood went on to spend a month in the top in the national rankings. In conference duals, Harwood faced a deep field of 7-pound wrestlers. All five were ranked at some point during the season, including eventual national champion Chris Pendleton of Oklahoma State and Missouri s Ben Askren, who was a national runner-up in the weight class. Against Pendleton, Harwood scored a three-point near fall to draw the match to -7 halfway through the second period, but Pendleton pulled away to register the victory in the match, 6-7, in Oklahoma State s dual victory at Nebraska Feb.. -Harwood missed the entire season while recovering from an elbow injury. -Harwood was one of three redshirts to share Nebraska s Redshirt-of-the- award, compiling a - record with six pins, two technical falls and two major decisions. He earned academic all-state honors his senior year and was a three-year member of the Minnesota Storm Junior National Freestyle Wrestling Team. 5 Paul Donahoe-5 Sophomore 6 NCAA Qualifier Returning Starter Returning Letterwinner 5 NU Co-Redshirt of the Paul Donahoe will look to improve on a finish at the NCAA Championships with a run toward All-America honors as a second-year starter at 5 pounds for Nebraska. NCAA Championships 6-Donahoe went - in his first trip to the NCAA Championships. In the first round, the th-seeded Donahoe won his first career NCAA match by a 7-5 decision over Patrick Castillo of Northern Illinois. Donahoe outscored Castillo 6- in the final period to take the match. Donahoe advanced to the quarterfinals at 5 pounds with a - win over Jeremy Mendoza of Arizona State. With 7 seconds to go in the match, Donahoe earned a takedown to take the lead for the first time in the match, and he held on for the victory. In the quarterfinals, Donahoe suffered a 5- loss to Oklahoma s Sam Hazewinkel. Donahoe s season ended with an 8- loss to Oklahoma State s Coleman Scott. The following weekend, Donahoe dominated Michigan s Paul Shutich in a 5- technical fall win that keyed Nebraska s 8-6 victory in Ann Arbor. After a loss at Minnesota, Donahoe defeated two ranked wrestlers at the Nebraska s on Dec. 7. The wrestling community took notice of Donahoe s strong first semester of wrestling, moving him into the top to begin the month of January. A win over th-ranked Luke Smith of Central Michigan started a three-match winning streak for Donahoe. Donahoe knocked off American s Matt Morkel 5- on Jan. and defeated 8thranked Austin DeVoe of Missouri in a -8 win by the Huskers over the Tigers. A win by fall over Ben Hansich of Iowa State closed Donahoe s first varsity regular season. 5-With five individual championships, Donahoe proved to be another promising prospect at 5 pounds. Donahoe won his first collegiate matches. After suffering a pair of losses, he went on to win his last matches. Donahoe started his collegiate career with a three-win performance that tied him for the individual title at 5 pounds on Nov. at the Harold Nichols Open in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Donahoe followed that with a 5- run to the championship of the -and-under 5-pound bracket at the Kaufman-Brand Open on Nov. in Omaha, Neb. On Dec., after winning his first two matches, Donahoe suffered a pair of losses at the UNI Open. That would be the only two bouts Donahoe would lose in his redshirt season. After Christmas break, Donahoe won four matches on Jan. 8 to capture the 5-pound championship at the Beamon Open in Blair, Neb. Before Nebraska-A two-time freestyle junior national champion, Donahoe earned two state championships at Davison High School under Coach Roy Hall. Padden at 97 pounds. 6-Brester posted a strong finish to his first season in the NU wrestling program, finishing in the top three in four of his last five tournaments to wrap up a -9 season. Brester, who wrestled primarily at 7 pounds, earned the championship at 7 pounds at the UNK Loper Open on Dec. with a - showing. Brester s string of top-three finishes started at the Oklahoma Open on Nov. 6. Brester got to the finals with three victories including a win by major decision and another by technical fall.
