Explore interactive, classroomtested procedures for introducing the Depth and Complexity Dimensions and their related Icon. Walk through mini-lessons to support the introduction of the dimensions to your students. Leave this session ready to incorporate Depth and Complexity on day one of the new school year. This session offers three different possibilities for sharing the framework with students. One of them is sure to meet your own teaching style and the needs of your students. Several common novels will be discussed and time will be allotted so participants can layer Depth and Complexity with novels they read and use with students. Strategies and exciting ways to prompt students to analyze various aspects of literature through the lenses of Depth & Complexity will be shared. T-TESS Meets Depth and Complexity: Let the Magic Begin! If there were a pedagogy-based dating show, it would definitely match up T-TESS with the Depth & Complexity Framework and predict a lifetime of happiness together.
