5 1. Warranty The machine is covered by a warranty for 12 months from the date of delivery as long as the instructions in this manual are followed. 2. Warnings This symbol is used when failure to comply or misinterpretation of the instructions may result in personal injury. To complement what is specified in this manual, the following are additional ways to use the station: Accompany the station during the movement and brake it during use; Outdoor use must be limited to the time necessary to perform the operation; Do not use the unit in the presence of a potentially explosive atmosphere; Use the station in areas protected from the rain. Never leave the station ATF unattended during any phase of work. It is recommended to work in team of two people to avoid leaving the ATF device unsupervised: a person performs the operations on the ATF device; the other person performs the operations on the vehicle. 3. Environmental Notes NOISE PACKAGING OFF-DUTY DISPOSAL The station has a Lep,d value of less than 70 db (A). If positioned in areas with noise values greater than 80 db (A), the employer is required to inform and train the operator of the risks arising from exposure to noise and to take appropriate action in agreement with the physician in charge. Do not throw in the trash any part of packaging, but select them depending on the type of material (e.g. cardboard, wood, plastic, etc.) and dispose them according to local and national regulations. At the end of the life of the machine you should: Deactivate the station, unplugging it from the mains and cutting the power cable; Remove the Electronic panel and its circuit board Disassemble the parts and select them by type. At the end of the life of the machine it is necessary to dispose of components, selected by type, according to local and national regulations. In particular, with regard to electrical and electronic components, called "Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) pursuant to Legislative Decree 151/2005 implementing Council Directives 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC and 2003/108/EC concerning the reduction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and the disposal of waste, the Manufacturer recommends: Not to dispose of as unsorted municipal waste and to perform separated waste collection; To check with the dealer about the authorized collection points for the regular disposal; To follow the rules on proper waste management, to avoid potential effects to the environment and human health; The adjacent symbol indicates the obligation to make a separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment at the time of demolition. The distributor who fails to organize the system of separate collection of professional WEEE shall be punished with a fine from 30, to 100, REMOVAL OF BATTERY AND ACCUMULATOR WASTE According to European Directive 2006/66/EC, instructions are provided below on how to remove the lithium battery type CR2032 contained in the station: Set the power switch of the station to the off position; Disconnect the station from the mains; Remove the top cover by unscrewing the fixing screws; Remove the circular battery from the circuit board. 17/02/2014 Vers

6 4. General Information 4.1. Introduction This manual is about the use and maintenance of ATF4000 computerized automatic transmission washer station, and is intended to provide a guide to the use of the machine and its periodic maintenance. Reading this manual carefully is essential for the correct operation of this machine. The machine is equipped with protection devices designed to prevent injury to the operator. The manufacturer declines any responsibility for improper use of the machine and for the exclusion, by the user, of these safety devices. The manual is part of the machine and should remain with it even in the event of sale. The machine can be identified by a label indicating the model, year of manufacture and serial number. 7 4.3. Purpose This manual aims to guide the industry operators in a valid and affirmed procedure of oil replacement for automatic transmissions: this allows the cleaning of the entire lubricating circuit and a complete removal of the used oil from the system. Replacing the lubricant for this type of change is critical and the high incidence of failures for this rather delicate part proves it. Despite this, many manufacturers indicate the need for this operation for increasing mileage, or even, in some cases, overlook this need for the entire life cycle of the car. The following picture shows the conditions of the sump of an automatic transmission with a covered distance of about Km. Figure 3 - Example of sump after 37,000 Km Despite the not at all excessive distance covered by the car, it is clearly visible how a substantial amount of sludge and emery has been formed. Experience proves, therefore, that it is good practice to perform a periodical replacement, by which it is possible to smooth the driving with less jerks when gears are engaged and, at the same time, increase the life of the transmission itself. The improvement in driving comfort following the process described below is immediately perceived by the driver, who will be surely satisfied with the work done. That's why we recommend not to underestimate the importance of regular oil replacement in an automatic transmission. 17/02/2014 Vers

The ATF4000 station In order to complete the work quickly and conveniently, we use the help of a washing and oil changing station: ATF This machine, designed specifically for this type of operation, allows to do the work in a smooth and clean way, ensuring, at the same time, a lower consumption of new fluid Technical features The following table lists the main technical features of the machine. Control Panel and Display The control panel is composed of a keyboard with 4 keys (fig.7b), an icon display (fig.7a), two pressure gauges, one for the oil flowing out from the ATF (Fig. 7F) and one for the oil flowing out from the gearbox (fig. 7G), and two flow meters, one for the used oil (Fig. 11D) and one for the new oil (Fig. 11C). A printer is available upon request for reports of performed operations (fig.8j). A J B F G Figure 7 Control Panel and Display Figure 8 - Printer (upon request) Keyboard The keys of the keyboard are: A "Enter" key, to confirm; "UP" and "DOWN" arrow keys, to navigate through the menu; "CE" key, to cancel or exit from the function Display The LCD display with a 240x64 resolution allows you to view the menu and select the desired function by easy to understand icons. Products used For the full treatment, three different products can be used (we recommend a careful examination of the compatibility with the transmission to be treated): An initial washing additive for removal of sludge and emulsions The automatic transmission fluid, with specifications as stated by the manufacturer And finally, a second additive which improves the performance of the transmission Figure 15 - Example of products for use with the machine 17/02/2014 Vers

Preparing the Car To start the procedure, you need to perform some preliminary operations: Drive the car for a few minutes so as to bring the gearbox oil at its operating temperature Raise the car using the appropriate lift Remove any protective casing Look for the identification plate, by means of which it is possible to identify the type of transmission you are going to treat. Figure 16 - Example of a transmission identification plate Finally, locate on the transmission the delivery and return of the lubricant to the heat exchanger, the cap related to oil level check (if present) and the lubricant s drain (if present). Preparing of the Station IMPORTANT THE STATION MUST BE CONNECTED TO AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET PROTECTED FROM INDIRECT CONTACT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES IN FORCE IN THE COUNTRY OF USE ENSURE THAT THE MAINS VOLTAGE IS AS INDICATED ON THE RATING PLATE NEAR THE OUTLET 7.1. Preparing the oil Insert into the new oil tank a sufficient amount of oil specific for ATF (at least 2 lt more than the total quantity present in the transmission). Check on the display the total amount of used oil in the internal tank of the ATF, ensuring that there is sufficient space for oil recovery. To drain the used oil in the internal tank see para Preparing the washing fluid In order to wash the gearbox you need to insert the appropriate fluid into the small back tank of the ATF. Note. We do not recommend washing very old automatic transmissions (cars with more than km). Remove the small washing fluid tank from the ATF. Insert the washing fluid mixing it with gearbox oil (ratio 1:1) Insert the quick coupling of the bottle into its seat. Figure 18 - Washing fluid 17/02/2014 Vers

16 8. Connecting the station to the car Note: What follows may vary depending on the type of transmission you are going to treat. Connect the ATF to the power supply and turn on the main switch. The first step is to connect the circuit to the charging station, with which you can make the process of emptying and refilling the circuit in an easy way. To do this, use the right fittings provided. Unscrew the locking screw of the supporting flange of the oil pipes and disconnect the delivery pipe of the lubricant to the oil radiator. Install the fittings in the output of the delivery on the gearbox and on the connecting pipe of the gearbox to the heat exchanger. Connect the junction duct in the entrance to the gearbox (1). Insert the rubber connection in the newly inserted junction duct (2). Connect the fitting with the oil delivery pipe to the radiator (3). Using the fittings you just placed, connect the pipes respectively to the output of the gearbox (return) and to the junction of the heat exchanger (pressure). Check that the 'Pressure' gauge raises properly, showing the oil pressure from the gearbox of the car. These are the possible connection modes: Diagram 1 17/02/2014 Vers

MANUAL procedure To access the main menu, press any key from the main menu and select the 'Manual' screen: In the manual procedure the following steps can be performed, one at a time: Insertion of the washing fluid (A) Programming and execution of the washing (B) Emptying of the sump for filter replacement and radiator cleaning (C) Oil replacement in torque converter (D) The individual steps are described below Inserting the washing fluid (A) This operation is to insert the washing fluid into the lubrication circuit of the transmission: the purpose is to facilitate the removal of sludge and emulsions, which will be trapped by the station filter. Mix the washing fluid with the transmission oil in the additive bottle (Fig. 5H) positioned on the back of the station (ratio 1:1). Insert the quick coupling of the bottle into its seat. Select the 'Inserting additive' function (A) and move the cursor to 'ON' using the arrow keys. Press ENTER. The station will begin to insert the washer fluid into the car and you will see the following screen. The middle icon indicates that at this stage the car must remain switched off, while the scroll bar and the percentage indicate how much washing fluid has been inserted. Once this phase is completed, the station will return to the screen containing all manual functions, thus you can proceed with the actual washing Washing (B) The 'Washing' function (B) allows you to select the time required for the washing of the automatic transmission with the fluid inserted during step (A). Pressing ENTER with the cursor positioned on the B icon you can go to a screen where you can change the desired time. 17/02/2014 Vers

20 Once you have changed the time as desired with the arrow keys, press ENTER and the display will show the following screen. This screen informs the user to turn the car on and to move (for vehicles in which this is possible) the shift lever so as to allow the washing fluid to penetrate into all ducts of the transmission. On the right side of the screen a progress bar and a digital clock indicate the elapsing of the washing time. The screen will also show the temperature of the oil in the automatic transmission. During this phase the filter on the station will retain all debris removed by the additive. Once the washing phase is completed, turn off the car Emptying of the cup for filter replacement and radiator cleaning (C) With this operation, you begin to remove the old oil. The total removal will occur only with the following operations. Select icon (C) in the 'Manual' menu. You will get to the screen shown below. In this phase, the station is set to collect used oil from the vehicle. Start the engine in order to drain the oil from the sump and stop the engine immediately when from the used oil ampoule air bubbles appear and the pressure gauge drops towards zero. This indicates that the oil sump has been almost completely emptied. The display will show the amount of oil collected from the sump (I) in the 'Old' field, whereas the bar and the other numerical value (II) represent the total oil in the used oil internal tank. 17/02/2014 Vers

21 Remove the sump by unscrewing all the connecting screws Washing the radiator Once you have removed the protective cover of the sump, before installing the new filter, you can proceed with the washing of the radiator if the connection diagram 1 is observed. If the tool is connected as shown in diagram 2, this must be excluded. Figure 22 -Removing the oil sump Place a special oil collector under the sump and, with the cover removed, press the UP arrow key until you see oil falling from the sump. The station will start loading oil from the 'Pressure' pipe and will display the quantity of oil loaded in the 'New Oil' field (III), while the bar and the other numerical value (IV) represent the total oil present in the external tank of the new oil. Stop the washing when the dropping fluid appears to be cleaned, by pressing the Down Arrow key. Figure 23 - Washing the radiator Thoroughly clean the sump and install the new filter (where possible). Once the new filter has been installed and the sump has been cleaned, press the UP arrow key and let the ATF load the oil into the sump with a quantity equal to that removed and displayed in field (I). Stop the insertion phase by pressing the DOWN arrow key. The quantity of new oil that is being inserted is indicated by field (III), while field (IV) indicates the total amount of new oil present in the tank. 17/02/2014 Vers

22 9.4. Oil replacement in the converter (D) With this operation, the used oil is removed from the converter and from the body of the automatic transmission. Select the D icon from the manual menu and set the amount of oil that you want to replace. Turn on the car engine and place the gear lever to P. The car will push the used oil into the tank inside the ATF and the ATF pump will push new oil into the car. The used oil will go directly into the charging station and you can have a visual feedback by means of the flow meters on the front of the station. The amount of removed oil is indicated in the OLD field, along with the total used oil in the internal tank of the ATF. The amount of new oil loaded is indicated in the NEW field, along with the total new oil in the tank. The procedure stops automatically when the programmed amount has been removed and loaded. The oil will be completely replaced when the colour of the used oil will be the same as the new oil. The quality of the oil that is being removed can be easily seen from the two windows (flow meters) located on the front of the station. If the colour is not yet satisfactory, repeat the "oil replacement in the converter" operation with small amounts of oil. NOTE: the station automatically manages the flows of used oil and new oil, so that the car has always the correct amount of oil. After the washing phase the station is positioned in 'RECIRCULATION' mode, so you can turn off the car comfortably Inserting additive for transmission longevity With this operation you will insert into the circuit the additive for optimal oil consumption. Please bear in mind that this operation is similar to the insertion operation of washing fluid described earlier during the manual procedure. Remember that it is important to mix the fluid with some transmission fluid in the additive bottle. 17/02/2014 Vers

23 9.6. Resetting the circuit When the colour of the oil is satisfactory, disconnect the ATF connecting pipes and restore the car s own connections Level check To ensure that the transmission works properly, it is important to check the oil level before putting the car on the road. Once restored the car s own connections, turn on the car to carry out the oil level check. Some examples of the oil level check procedure are shown in the following figures: Figure 24 - Checking the oil level If you need to add oil, use the special "level" function in the utility menu. NOTE: if the transmission does not have the oil level check light, determine the correct level as indicated by the manufacturer. Finally, it is recommended to perform a road test of the car operation and check the oil level again. 17/02/2014 Vers

24 10. AUTOMATIC Procedure This procedure is used if the automatic transmission filter is not replaced. You must connect the car as shown in the previous chapter, set the parameters and follow the instructions on the screen. Select the 'AUTOMATIC' procedure with the icon below. You will enter the following screen, where you can set the parameters for each phase and start the procedure. To set each step: Move to the icon representing the desired phase Press ENTER. Set the desired parameter o Cleaning Additive: Yes/No (A) o Washing: washing time (minutes) (B) o Oil to be replaced: the amount of oil in the gearbox (C) o With the Go button you can start the whole procedure (D) With function A you can choose whether to insert or not the washing additive, prepared in the bottle as shown in the chapter of the previous section. With function B you can choose how many minutes of washing to perform. With function C you can select how much oil you want to replace. Press the GO key (D) to start the procedure. You will see the following sequence of screens that will indicate the operations to perform on the car. Once the automatic procedure has been started, the user will only work on the car as shown on the display during the different phases. Once the full procedure is completed, the station will be placed on recirculation, waiting for the user to intervene. This procedure can be interrupted at any time by pressing the Red C button on the keyboard. 17/02/2014 Vers

25 11. The DIPSTICK function See below for the configuration needed to use the dipstick system. In the main menu, select the 'DIPSTICK' function with this icon. This procedure can be used on sealed automatic transmissions (seal system). It is essential to use the plastic probe supplied with the ATF. The images below show the application on an automatic transmission of a Class A Mercedes. Identify the cap of the oil dipstick. The washing additive and the fluid will be manually inserted from this input to improve the performance of the transmission. Figure 25- Oil dipstick To perform the oil emptying operations from the sump and the load of the new oil, connect the pressure and return pipes using the three-way fitting provided; the clear tubing must be inserted on the third input, as shown below. 26 Insert the other end in the transmission, to the bottom, as shown here. Figure 27 - Insertion of the tube for oil replacement in sealed automatic transmissions Selecting the 'DIPSTICK' function the station goes to the following screen. Pressing the DOWN Arrow button the station draws used oil from the car. Turn off the pump by releasing the button when air bubbles appear in the flow meter. Pressing the UP Arrow key the station pushes new oil into the car. Release the button when you have entered the same amount of oil previously removed. Releasing the arrow button the station terminates the operation. 17/02/2014 Vers

27 12. Utility The utility menu contains the following functions: Level With this function you can add oil in the car to reach the correct oil level. Place the plastic probe in the 'Pressure' pipe. Pressing the UP arrow key, oil is inserted into the car Recirculation Completely similar to the recirculation phase which is activated at the end of work. After connecting the vehicle to the ATF, the desired time is set for the recirculation. Then press ENTER to start the phase. This phase can be used to bring the oil to temperature or to verify that the connection of the fittings is done correctly Used oil drain This function unloads the used oil tank inside the ATF. From the home screen or from the internal tank level control on the side you can see how much oil is in the tank. The station has a control device that does not allow you to perform oil replacements if the tank is overfilled. It is advisable to always keep an eye on the amount of oil in the used oil tank. Oil removal occurs through the appropriate exhaust pipe, located on the side Print With this function, the user can print the specifications of the last performed operation, both manual and automatic. The printed report indicates: Whether you inserted the additive or not Whether you performed the washing Whether you replaced the filter (in manual) How much oil has been replaced 17/02/2014 Vers

Setup The Setup menu has the following icon Time/Date Setting The user changes the time and date LCD Setting The user can adjust the brightness and contrast of the display Oil Setting The user can adjust the viscosity of both new and old oil, which is the l/g conversion parameter Calibration Test This function allows you to control the operation of the scales inside the station PC Connection Data Update: languages, icons and fonts Language Setting Selection of different languages Pipe compensation With this parameter you can set the length of the pipes. 29 14. Maintenance The maintenance of the station requires the replacement of the external paper filter. When you have recovered a certain amount of oil, the station alerts the user that maintenance is required. Make sure there are no leaks on pipes or fittings, and do not perform any operation that is not indicated in this manual. 15. Hvis stasjonen plasseres i områder med støyverdier som er større enn 80 db (A), er arbeidsgiver pålagt å informere og gi operatøren opplæring i farer som oppstår ved eksponering for støy og iverksette nødvendige tiltak i samråd med den ansvarlige legen. Ikke kaste noen deler av emballasjen i søpøa, men velg dem avhengig av type materiale (f.eks. papp, tre, plast, osv.) og kast dem i henhold til lokale og nasjonale forskrifter. UTENFOR TJENESTETIDEN Ved slutten av maskinens levetid bør du: AVHENDING Deaktivere stasjonen, koble den fra strømnettet og kutte strømkabelen; Ta av det elektroniske panelet og tilhørende kretskort Demontere deler og velg dem etter type. Ved slutten maskinens levetid er det nødvendig å avhende komponenter, valgt etter type, i henhold til lokale og nasjonale forskrifter. 33 4. Generell informasjon 4.1. Introduksjon Denne håndboken omhandler bruk og vedlikehold av ATF4000-datastyrt vaskemaskin for automatkasser og er ment som en veiledning om bruk av maskinen og periodisk vedlikehold. Å lese denne håndboken nøye er avgjørende for riktig bruk av maskinen. Maskinen er utstyrt med sikkerhetsutstyr som skal hindre skade på brukeren. Produsenten fraskriver seg ethvert ansvar for uriktig bruk av maskinen, og for ekskludering, fra brukeren, av disse sikkerhetsinnretningene. Håndboken er en del av maskinen, og bør bevares sammen med maskinen selv i tilfelle av salg. Maskinen kan identifiseres ved et merke som indikerer modell, årsmodell og serienummer. Etiketten er plassert på den ene siden av stasjonen (fig, 1). Figur 1 - ID-plate 4.2. Klargjøring av stasjonen Før du bruker stasjonen må du sørge for at nettspenningen er som angitt på typeskiltet ved utløpet VIKTIG Figur 2 Stikkontakt stasjonen må kobles til en stikkontakt som er beskyttet mot indirekte kontakt i samsvar med FORSKRIFTER som er i kraft i landet der det brukes OBS ikke forurens miljøet med smøremiddel, men KASTDET som spesialavfall og i henhold til gjeldende FORSKRIFTER. 34 4.3. Formål Håndboken tar sikte på å gi industrioperatører en veiledning i en gyldig og akseptert fremgangsmåte for oljeerstatning for automatkasser. Dette muliggjør rengjøring av hele smøresystemet og fullstendig fjerning av brukt olje fra systemet. Å skifte smøremiddel for denne type endring er av grunnleggende betydning, noe den høye forekomsten av feil i forbindelse med denne svært så delikate delen er et bevis på. Til tross for dette, indikerer mange produsenter at denne operasjonen er nødvendig for å øke kjørelengden, eller, i noen tilfeller overser dette i løpet av bilens livssyklus. Bildet nedenfor viser forholdene i sumpen til en automatkasse med en tilbakelagt distanse på ca km. Figur 3 Eksempel på-sump etter km Til tross for at bilen overhodet ikke har tilbakelagt en særlig stor distanse, er det tydelig at det har blitt dannet en betydelig mengde slam og smergel. Erfaring beviser, derfor, at det er god praksis å utføre en periodisk utskifting, som muliggjør jevnere kjøring med mindre rykk når tannhjulene er innkoplet og, samtidig, øker levetiden til selve girkassen. Forbedringen i kjørekomfort som følge av prosessen beskrevet nedenfor oppfattes av sjåføren umiddelbart, og han vil sikkert bli fornøyd over arbeidet som er blitt utført. Derfor anbefaler vi ikke å undervurdere betydningen av regelmessig oljeskift i en automatkasse. 17/02/2014 Vers

Klargjøring av bil For å starte prosedyren, må du utføre noen foreløpige operasjoner: Kjør bilen i noen minutter slik for bringe girkasseoljen til driftstemperatur Hev bilen ved hjelp av egnet heis Fjern eventuelle beskyttende kapper Se etter identifikasjon plate, som brukes til å identifisere hvilken type girkasse du skal behandle. Klargjøring av stasjonen VIKTIG stasjonen må kobles til en stikkontakt som er beskyttet mot indirekte kontakt i samsvar med reglene som er i kraft i landet der det brukes sørge for at nettspenningen er som angitt på typeskiltet ved utløpet 7.1. Klargjøring av olje Hell en tilstrekkelig mengde av olje bestemt for ATF inne i den nye oljetanken (minst to liter mer enn den totale mengden som er til stede i girkassen). Sjekk på displayet den totale mengden av brukt olje i den interne tanken av ATF. Sikre at det er tilstrekkelig plass for oljeutvinning. For å tømme den brukte oljen i den interne tanken se punkt Klargjøring av vaskevæsken For å kunne vaske girkassen du må helle en passende væske inn i den lille tanken til ATF. Merk. Vi anbefaler ikke å vaske svært gamle automatkasser (biler med mer enn km). Fjern den lille tanken for vaskevæske fra ATF. 43 8. Koble stasjonen til bilen Merk: Det følgende kan variere avhengig av type girkasse du skal behandle. Koble ATF-en til strømforsyningen og slå på hovedbryteren. Det første trinnet er å koble kretsen til ladestasjonen, som du kan bruke til å gjøre prosessen med tømming og påfylling av kretsen enklere. For å gjøre dette, bruker du de riktige medfølgende koplingene. Skru løs låseskruen for støtteflensen til oljerørene og koble fra materøret til smøremiddel for oljeradiatoren. Installer koplingene på utgangen av materøret på girkassen og på tilkoblingsrøret for girkassen og varmeveksleren. Koble forbindelseskanalen i inngangen til girkassen (1). Sett gummi-tilkobling inn i den nyinnsatte forbindelseskanalen (2). Koble koplingen til materøret til radiatoren (3). Bruk koplingene du nettopp satte på plass til å koble rørene henholdsvis til utgangen til girkassen (retur) og til forbindelsespunktet til varmeveksleren (trykk). MANUELL prosedyre For å få tilgang til hovedmenyen, trykker du hvilken som helst tast fra hovedmenyen og velger skjermen "Manual (Manuell)": Du kan utføre følgende trinn i den manuelle prosedyren, ett om gangen: Helle i vaskevæsken (A) Programmering og gjennomføring av vasking (B) Tømming av sumpen for filterskift og radiatorrengjøring (C) Oljeskift i momentomformer (D) Hvert trinn er beskrevet nedenfor Helle i vaskevæsken (A) Denne operasjonen består av å helle vaskevæske inn i smøresystemet til girkassen. Hensikten er å lette fjerning av slam og emulsjoner, som vil bli fanget av stasjonsfilteret. Bland vaskevæsken til med giroljen i den additive flasken (fig. 5H) på baksiden av stasjonen (forhold 1:1). Sett hurtigkoblingen til flasken i setet sitt. Velg funksjonen "Inserting additive" (hell i additiv) (A) og flytt markøren til "ON" (PÅ) ved bruk av piltastene. Trykk ENTER. Stasjonen vil begynne å hell vaskevæsken inn i bilen, og du vil se følgende skjermbilde. Det midterste ikonet viser at bilen må være slått av på dette stadiet, mens rullefeltet og prosenten viser hvor mye vaskevæske som er helt inn. Når denne fasen er fullført, vil stasjonen gå tilbake til skjermbildet som inneholder alle manuelle funksjoner, og du dermed fortsette med den faktiske vasken. 17/02/2014 Vers

47 9.2. Vasking (B) "Washing (vaske)"-funksjonen (B) lar deg velge tiden som kreves for å vaske den automatkassen med væsken som ble helt inn under trinn (A). Ved å trykke ENTER med markøren på B-ikonet kan du gå til et skjermbilde der du kan endre ønsket tid. Når du har endret ønsket tid med piltastene, trykker du ENTER og displayet vil vise følgende skjermbilde. Dette skjermbildet informerer brukeren om å slå på bilen og flytte (for kjøretøy hvor dette er mulig) girspaken, slik at vaskevæsken kan trenge inn i alle kanalene i girkassen. På høyre side av skjermen er det en fremgangslinje og en digital klokke som indikerer tidsforløpet for vasking. Skjermbildet vil også vise oljetemperaturen i den automatkassen. I denne fasen vil filteret på stasjonen beholde alle rester som fjernes av additivet. Slå av bilen straks vaskefasen er ferdig Tømming av koppen for filterskift og radiatorrengjøring (C) Med denne operasjonen, begynner du å fjerne gammel olje. Oljen kan bare fjernes helt med følgende operasjoner. Velg ikonet (C) i "Manual"-menyen. Du vil komme til skjermbildet nedenfor. I denne fasen, er stasjonen satt til å tømme brukt olje fra kjøretøyet. Start motoren for å tømme oljen fra sumpen. Motoren må stoppes umiddelbart når luftbobler kan ses i (D) Strømningsmåler for brukt olje og trykkmåleren synker ned mot null. Dette indikerer at oljesumpen har blitt nesten helt tømt. Displayet viser mengden olje som samles fra sumpen (I) i "Old (Gammel)"-feltet, mens linjen og den andre tallverdien (II) representerer den totale oljemengden i den brukte interne oljetanken. 17/02/2014 Vers

48 Fjern sump ved å skru løs alle forbindelsesskruene Vaske radiatoren Når du har fjernet det beskyttende dekselet til sumpen, før du installerer det nye filteret, kan du fortsette å vaske radiatoren hvis forbindelsesdiagram 1 følges. Hvis verktøyet er koblet til som vist i figur 2, må dette utelukkes. Figur 22 Fjerning av oljesumpen Plasser en spesiell oljefanger under sumpen, og med dekselet, trykk på "UP (OPP)"-piltasten til du ser oljen falle fra sumpen. Stasjonen vil begynne å laste olje fra "Pressure (Trykk)"-røret, og vil vise mengden olje som er lastet i "New Oil (Ny olje)"-feltet (III), mens linjen og den andre numerisk verdien (IV) representerer den samlede oljen i den eksterne tanken for den nye oljen. Stopp vaskingen når fallende væsken ser ut til å være renset ved å trykke på pil ned-tasten. Figur 23 Vaske radiatoren Rengjør sumpen grundig og installer det nye filteret (hvis mulig). Når det nye filteret er montert og sumpen er rengjort, trykker du på pil opp-tasten og lar ATF laste oljen inn i sumpen med en mengde lik den som ble fjernet og vises i feltet (I). Stopp lastefasne ved å trykke pil ned-tasten. Mengden ny olje som lastes inn er angitt i feltet (III), mens felt (IV) viser den totale mengden ny olje i tanken. 17/02/2014 Vers

49 9.4. Oljeskift i omformeren (D) Med denne operasjonen, fjernes den brukte oljen fra omformeren og fra hoveddelen av den automatkassen. Velg D-ikonet fra den manuelle menyen og angi mengden olje du vil erstatte. Slå på bilmotoren og sett girspaken i P. Bilen vil presse den brukte oljen i tanken i i ATF-en og ATF-pumpen vil presse ny olje inn i bilen. Den brukte oljen vil gå direkte inn i ladestasjonen og du kan få en visuell tilbakemelding ved hjelp av strømningsmåleren på forsiden av stasjonen. Mengden fjernet olje indikeres i "OLD (GAMMEL)"-feltet, sammen med den totale oljen som brukes i den indre tanken av ATF-en. Mengden ny olje indikeres i "NEW (NY)"-feltet, sammen med den totale nye oljen tanken. Prosedyren stopper automatisk når den programmerte mengden er fjernet og lastet. Oljen vil bli fullstendig erstattet når fargen til oljen som brukes er den lik den nye oljen. Kvaliteten på oljen som fjernes kan lett sees fra de to vinduene (strømningsmålere) som befinner seg på forsiden av stasjonen. Hvis fargen er ennå ikke tilfredsstillende, gjenta prosedyren "oil replacement in the converter (oljeskift i omformeren)" med små mengder olje. MERK: stasjonen styrer automatisk strømmen av brukt olje og ny olje, slik at bilen alltid har riktig mengde olje. Etter vaskefasen er stasjonen er satt i "RECIRCULATION RESIRKULASJON)"-modus, slik at du kan slå av bilen komfortabelt Sette inn additiv for å gi girkassen lenger levetid Med denne operasjonen vil du tilsetningsstoffet inn i kretsen for optimal oljeforbruk. Vær oppmerksom på at denne operasjonen er lik lasteoperasjonen for vaskevæske beskrevet tidligere under den manuelle prosedyren. Tilbakestille kretsen Når fargen på oljen er tilfredsstillende, kobler du fra ATF-tilkoblingsrørene og gjenoppretter bilens egne forbindelser Nivåkontroll For å sikre at girkassen fungerer ordentlig, er det viktig å kontrollere oljenivået før du kjører bilen. Ved bruk av forbindelsene som ble brukt i forrige operasjon, slår du på bilen for å utføre kontroll av oljenivå. Noen eksempler på kontrollprosedyren er vist i figurene nedenfor: Figur 24 Kontroll av oljenivået Hvis du må legge til olje, bruker du den spesielle "level (nivå)"-funksjonen i verktøysmenyen. MERK: Hvis girkassen ikke har et kontrollys, bestemme du korrekt nivå som angitt av produsenten. 51 10. AUTOMATISK prosedyre Denne prosedyren brukes hvis automatgirfilteret ikke byttes. Du må koble til bilen som vist i forrige kapittel, stille inn parametere og følge instruksjonene på skjermen. Velg prosedyren "AUTOMATIC (AUTOMATISK)" med ikonet nedenfor. Du kommer inn i følgende skjermbilde, der du kan stille inn parametere for hver fase og starte prosedyren. Med funksjon B kan du velge hvor mange minutter med vasking du vil utføre. Med funksjon C kan du velge hvor mye olje du vil erstatte. Trykk GO-tasten (D) for å starte prosedyren. Du vil se følgende sekvens av skjermbilder som vil indikere operasjonene som skal utføres på bilen. Når den automatiske prosedyren er startet, vil brukeren bare arbeide på bilen som vist på displayet i de ulike fasene. Når hele prosedyren er fullført, vil stasjonen bli satt til resirkulering, og vente på at brukeren griper inn. 52 11. Peilestavfunksjonen Se under for konfigurasjon som kreves for å bruke peilestavsystemet. I hovedmenyen, velger du funksjonen "DIPSTICK (PEILESTAV)" med dette ikonet. Denne fremgangsmåten kan brukes på lukkede automatkasser (tetningssystem). Det er viktig å bruke plastsonden som følger med ATF. Bildene nedenfor viser programmet på en automatkasse av klasse A Mercedes. Identifiser hetten på peilestaven. Vaskeadditivet og væsken vil helles inn manuelt fra denne inngangen for å forbedre ytelsen til girkassen.
